Atlas Capital Group, LLC was founded in March, 2006 to invest in opportunistic, value-added real estate transactions globally. Atlas has formed strategic partnerships with institutional investors who co-invest alongside Atlas. Atlas' portfolio consists of over $2.5 billion of residential, office and retail assets in New York City, Boston, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Miami, London and Dublin. Atlas is a full service real state investment, development and management firm. More specifically, we specialize in repurposing and repositioning existing properties, as well as assets with specific issues such as incomplete construction, leasing risk, legal disputes, and inefficient expense management. Our in-house expertise allow us to resolve these issues and thus to create value. These disciplines include property management, construction, leasing, accounting, legal and financial analysis.

Principal

Jeffrey Goldberger

Mr. Goldberger has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry. From 1988-1996, Mr. Goldberger was the founding Principal and President of JAG Capital, a boutique privately held real estate investment company which specialized in value-added real estate equity investments and distressed debt opportunities. In 1997, Mr. Goldberger became a Principal and the President of The Witkoff Group, LLC, a full service real estate investment firm. Under Mr. Goldberger’s guidance, from 1997-2002, The Witkoff Group, LLC acquired approximately 15 million sq. ft. of commercial real estate. In 2002, Mr. Goldberger joined UBS Investment Bank to develop and manage the real estate equity investment platform within the Global Commercial Real Estate Group. From 2002-2006, until the formation of Atlas, Mr. Goldberger invested UBS’ capital on a principal basis in opportunistic / value-added equity investments and high leverage debt instruments. After receiving a BA in Economics from Tufts University in 1984, Mr. Goldberger earned an MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern Business School in 1986.

Andrew Cohen

Mr. Cohen has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to the formation of Atlas, Mr. Cohen was a Managing Director in the Global Commercial Real Estate Group at UBS Investment Bank. Mr. Cohen joined UBS Investment Bank in 2001 and was responsible for the origination, structuring and closing of large and complex debt instruments as well as the sale of the group’s investments into the capital markets. Mr. Cohen teamed up with Mr. Goldberger in 2002 to develop the real estate equity investment platform at UBS Investment Bank. From 2002-2006, Mr. Cohen invested UBS’ capital on a principal basis in opportunistic / valued-added equity investments and high leverage debt instruments. Prior to joining UBS Investment Bank, Mr. Cohen was a practicing real estate attorney at Schulte, Roth & Zabel LLP where he structured and closed complex debt and equity real estate transactions while representing real estate developers, real estate funds and investment banks. Mr. Cohen graduated from Princeton University in 1989 and from Fordham University School of Law in 1994.

Director Of Acquisitions & Analysis

Mr. Wood joined Atlas in 2007, he is responsible for all U.S. acquisitions including research, financial analysis and projections. Mr. Wood began his career at Atlas as a Senior Acquisitions Analyst and Asset Manager. Prior to joining Atlas, Mr. Wood was a Senior Financial Analyst at The JBG Companies, where he underwrote commercial, residential, hotel and mixed-use real estate investments and was responsible for asset management functions. Mr. Wood graduated from Dartmouth College where he graduated with a degree in Economics.

Chief Financial Officer

Christopher Flynn

Mr. Flynn joined Atlas in 2006, he is responsible for all accounting functions at the corporate and partnership levels. Prior to joining Atlas, he was a Vice President at Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Flynn was responsible for accounting, SEC compliance, management reporting and financial analysis for joint ventures. Before joining Vornado, he had been Director of Financial Reporting at Haights Cross Communications, Inc. Prior to that, he was with Ernst & Young, LLP. Mr. Flynn graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a B.S. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
