Beacon Capital Partners was formed in 1998 by the senior management team of Beacon Properties Corporation, following their sale in 1997 of the NYSE-traded office REIT to Equity Office Properties Trust. Since its inception in 1998, Beacon has raised over $11 billion of equity for office real estate investment. Beacon’s investors consist of institutions from around the world, including public and private pension funds, major endowments and foundations, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies. Through its funds, Beacon has completed over 90 investments, with a projected total cost of approximately $29.0 billion. Since inception, Beacon has also completed dispositions of investments valued at nearly $14.0 billion. Beacon invests in high-quality office properties that offer value-add opportunities in its knowledge-based target markets. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Alan Leventhal

Mr. Leventhal is the Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Beacon Capital Partners. Mr. Leventhal previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Beacon Properties Corporation, a publicly traded real estate investment company which was merged with Equity Office Properties in 1997. Mr. Leventhal received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northwestern University in 1974 and a Master of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College in 1976. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. He is also a member of the MIT Corporation and a trustee of Boston University where he previously served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2008. Mr. Leventhal is a life trustee of Northwestern University and also serves on the boards of the Friends of Post Office Square and the Norman B. Leventhal Map Center at the Boston Public Library. In 1996 and 1997 Mr. Leventhal was awarded the Realty Stock Review’s ‘Outstanding CEO Award’, and in 1996 received the Commercial Property News ‘Office Property Executive of the Year’ award. In 2004 he received Ernst & Young’s New England Entrepreneur of the year award.

Michael Bruckner

Mr. Bruckner is based in Los Angeles and is responsible for acquisitions on the West Coast of the U.S. Prior to joining Beacon Capital Partners, Mr. Bruckner was a Senior Director at CB Richard Ellis Investors (CBREI). He joined CBREI in 1999 and was responsible for the acquisition of institutional real estate investments in the Western U.S. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Bruckner had been a Vice President at Lennar Partners (predecessor to LNR Property Corp.), handling the investment in wholly-owned and joint venture value-added opportunities. Mr. Bruckner has been involved in commercial real estate investment since 1985. Mr. Bruckner holds a Master of Business Economics and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He has been active in the real estate community and has held board positions with numerous real estate organizations, including the Los Angeles Commercial Realty Association (LACRA) and The Wilshire Club in Los Angeles, of which he is a founding member.

Mr. Kelly is based in San Francisco and oversees asset management and operations of properties on the West Coast, as well as acquisitions in San Francisco. Prior to joining Beacon Capital Partners, Mr. Kelly was a Strategy Consultant with Cambridge Strategic Management Group (CSMG) in Boston. While at CSMG, he focused on strategy assignments for Fortune 50 clients, business model development for start-up clients, and due diligence support for private equity and venture capital clients. Mr. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Brown University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University. He is also a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional.

Jeffrey Kovach

Mr. Kovach is based in Northern Virginia and manages Beacon’s asset management activities for Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, New York, and Chicago. Prior to joining Beacon Capital Partners, Mr. Kovach was a Vice President - Operations for Penzance Properties, Inc., an owner and developer of commercial office properties in the Washington, D.C. region. From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Kovach was the Market Officer for InterPark, Inc., a subsidiary of GE Real Estate, with oversight responsibilities for approximately 70 parking assets in the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining InterPark, Mr. Kovach was a Vice President/Regional Manager with Jones Lang LaSalle, where he worked for 10 years in the leasing and management division overseeing commercial office portfolios in excess of 8 million square feet for third-party clients in the Washington, D.C. and Columbus, Ohio markets. Mr. Kovach received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University.

Mr. Rasmussen is based in Boston and oversees investor relations and equity capital raising. Prior to joining Beacon Capital Partners, Mr. Rasmussen was an Assistant Vice President and Relationship Manager in U.S. Corporate Banking at Wells Fargo Bank. At Wells Fargo, he was responsible for developing, underwriting, and maintaining the Bank’s credit and ancillary service relationships with a portfolio of Fortune 1000 companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to his time in San Francisco, Mr. Rasmussen was a Credit Analyst in U.S. Corporate Banking at Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo) in Minneapolis. Mr. Rasmussen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Carleton College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Ms. Shank is based in Boston and oversees portfolio management, including acquisitions, dispositions, tenant credit analysis, quarterly reforecast analysis, the summer intern program, market research and management of the acquisition and disposition analytical team. Prior to joining Beacon Capital Partners, Ms. Shank was a Senior Associate for Cornerstone Properties in San Francisco. At Cornerstone, she worked with the asset management team to enhance revenues and reduce costs throughout their nationwide real estate portfolio. Ms. Shank held positions at William Wilson & Associates, prior to its purchase by Cornerstone, as an Investment Analyst and as a Property Accountant. Ms. Shank holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Virginia, a Master of Business Administration degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Seigel is based in Boston and is President and Chief Operating Officer of Beacon. Prior to joining Beacon Capital Partners, Mr. Seigel was Managing Director of Latona Associates, Inc., a private merchant bank. Prior to joining Latona Associates, Mr. Seigel spent six years as founder, President, and Director of Energy Capital Partners, which specialized in financing energy projects throughout the U.S. The company was sold to a Global 50 company during Mr. Seigel’s tenure. Mr. Seigel holds a Bachelor of Arts from New England College. Mr. Seigel also serves on the Board of Directors of the Citi Performing Arts Center and the Board of Directors of The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for The United State Senate.

Michael Bowler

Mr. Bowler is based in Boston and oversees valuations, property budgeting, planning, and investor performance reporting. Before joining Beacon Capital Partners, Mr. Bowler served as the Director of Financial Analysis for Beacon Properties, where he oversaw all acquisition, asset management and development financial analysis. Prior to joining Beacon Properties, Mr. Bowler was an Assistant Vice President at Northland Investment Corporation, where he held a variety of financial and accounting positions from 1982 to 1994. Mr. Bowler is a graduate of Bentley College, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Phillip Brannigan, Jr.

Mr. Brannigan is based in Boston and manages Beacon’s asset management activities in Boston. Before joining Beacon Capital Partners, Mr. Brannigan was a Senior Asset Manager and Regional Vice President at Beacon Properties, with responsibility for the asset management of a portfolio of properties totaling over 9 million square feet of space in Boston and Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Beacon Properties, Mr. Brannigan was Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Winthrop Financial Associates, where he was responsible for sales, refinancings, restructurings and reporting to investors for a portfolio consisting of over 16 million square feet of commercial space and 5,000 apartment units. Mr. Brannigan is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science.

Jeffrey Brown

Mr. Brown is based in Boston and oversees all of Beacon’s acquisitions and dispositions, as well as certain strategic initiatives. Mr. Brown has been with Beacon since 1996, joining as a Financial Analyst at Beacon Properties, where he was responsible for the analysis and underwriting of investment opportunities. Mr. Brown was a consultant with E&Y Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group from 1994 to 1996, with responsibility for valuation analysis and due diligence assignments for various clients. Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
