Managing Director and Head of U.S. MAG Acquisitions

Victor Bucchere

Responsibilities ​Mr. Bucchere is responsible for all aspects of investment acquisitions in North America, including sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, due diligence, investment committee presentation, and closing of investment transactions. Mr. Bucchere has been the senior acquisition officer for over $8.0 billion of industrial, residential, office and retail investments, and is the Regional Manager of CBRE Investors’ Boston office. Prior Experience ​Mr. Bucchere has been the lead acquisition officer for approximately $4.0 billion of joint venture development transactions for industrial and office properties throughout the United States, and has led the negotiations of several joint relationships with major national development partners. In addition to his acquisitions responsibilities, Mr. Bucchere has served in various asset and portfolio management roles over his 24-year career with CBRE Investors. As a portfolio manager he oversaw and provided strategic direction for one of the firm’s largest separate account relationships. Prior to joining CBRE Investors, Mr. Bucchere was Manager of Benefit Plan Investments for the J.C. Penney Company and was responsible for the investment of over $1.7 billion in defined benefit, contribution and health plans.

John Sauter

Responsibilities John Sauter has joined the Strategic Partners U.S. team as a Managing Director for West Coast Acquisitions. In this capacity, he is responsible for originating, underwriting and structuring West Coast investments as well as development of new business opportunities. Prior Experience Prior to joining the firm, John was a Partner with the MSD Capital L.P. Real Estate Group, where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing transaction opportunities in traditional real estate private equity, public securities, real estate debt and corporate private equity. With more than 20 years in the industry, John has experience with development, acquisitions and financing in a broad range of sectors, including multifamily, office, retail, land and hospitality. He has worked on transactions valued in excess of $10 billion.

Matt Khourie

Responsibilities ​Matt Khourie is Chief Executive Officer of CBRE Global Investors, the real estate investment management affiliate of CBRE (NYSE: CBG). Mr. Khourie is responsible for management of the global enterprise and is a member of the Firm’s Global Executive Committee and the Global and Americas Investment Committees. Prior Experience Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors, Mr. Khourie served for 29 years with Trammell Crow Company (TCC), CBRE’s real estate development business, where he most recently served as President, Development & Investment, Southeast United States. Mr. Khourie was a member of the TCC Executive and Investment committees, setting policy and strategy for TCC, as well as reviewing and approving TCC investment decisions. During his career, Mr. Khourie has worked in various management positions including leadership roles that focused on investment strategy, portfolio management, development, and institutional investor relations.

Michael McMenomy

Responsibilities ​As Global Head of Investor Services, Mr. McMenomy is involved in the development of the firm’s investment programs and has overall responsibility for investor relations. Since 2005, Mr. McMenomy has led the global capital raising effort on behalf of the firm yielding more than $41 billion. Prior Experience ​Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors in 2005, Mr. McMenomy served as the Senior Managing Director of the CBRE Investment Properties–Institutional Group. The 50-member Institutional Group serves as CBRE’s higher value equity sales team, generally placing transactions into the capital markets at values exceeding $50 million. In his leadership role, Mr. McMenomy led a nationwide team of investment professionals dedicated to providing integrated service delivery to that division's largest, multi-market institutional clients.

Jeff Torto

Responsibilities ​Jeffrey Torto is responsible for the acquisition of institutional investments on behalf of the Managed Accounts Group. Mr. Torto is responsible for all facets of the investment process including sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, due diligence and closing real estate transactions. He has overseen over $2 billion of direct investments and joint ventures. Prior Experience ​Mr. Torto has 25 years of real estate investment and research experience and over 15 years with CBRE Investors in various acquisition and research capacities. Prior to joining CBRE Investors, he was a Vice President at Torto Wheaton Research, CBRE’s research and consulting arm.

Michael Burrichter

Responsibilities ​Michael Burrichter, who joined CBRE Global Investors in 1994, is responsible for originating, underwriting and structuring acquisitions and joint ventures for the Eastern Region, including the East Coast, Southeast and Midwest, for Strategic Partners U.S. He has sourced, underwritten, negotiated and executed over $5.5 billion in transactions. Prior Experience Mr. Burrichter has 30 years of experience in the real estate industry including acquisitions, asset management, leasing, property valuations, consultation and structuring participating loan and joint venture transactions. Prior to joining the Strategic Partners team, Mr. Burrichter was a senior acquisition director for CBRE Global Investors, where he was one of the Firm’s top investment professionals. Previously Mr. Burrichter worked for CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services Department; Laventhol & Horwath in Houston and Sydney, Australia, as a consultant engaged primarily in hospitality-related assignments; and for CRI, a multi-family investment company in the Washington, D.C., area.

Vance Maddocks

Responsibilities ​Vance Maddocks, who joined CBRE in 1984, is the founder and architect of the Strategic Partners U.S. program, the firm’s value added and opportunistic fund series with 7 funds closed since 2000. Under the direction of Mr. Maddocks, the Strategic Partners U.S. program has completed transactions totaling more than $11.0 billion.* Mr. Maddocks is a member of the Global Executive and Global Investment Committees of CBRE Global Investors. Prior Experience In 2007 Mr. Maddocks assumed the role of CEO of CBRE Global Investors in addition to his role as President of Strategic Partners U.S. During his tenure as CEO, Mr. Maddocks enhanced the firm's global corporate governance, risk management and investment practices creating greater consistency and discipline in decision making. In 2007 he created the CBRE Global Investors Global Green Initiative, which has led more than 70 properties worldwide to be certified based on local sustainability standards. In 2010 Mr. Maddocks transitioned back from two leadership roles to one, stepping down as CEO to fully focus his attention on his role as President of Strategic Partners U.S. Mr. Maddocks has 29 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and has been active in all phases of the investment process including equity capital raising, mortgage origination and structuring, joint venture structuring, leasing and dispositions. He is a three-time recipient of the CBRE Chairman’s Award for Leadership. In 2006, he received the company’s highest honor for his distinguished service and deal making capability, the Edward S. Gordon Award. He is the second CBRE recipient of this prestigious award in the history of the company. Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors, Mr. Maddocks spent four years in the Appraisal Services Group of CBRE, Inc. beginning as a Real Estate Analyst coordinating the valuations of commercial real estate properties nationwide. In addition, he was formerly a Senior Accountant with KPMG.

Principal West Coast Acquisitions

Phillip Hench

Responsibilities ​Phillip Hench, who joined CBRE Global Investors in 1988, is responsible for originating, underwriting, and structuring Western Region investments for Strategic Partners U.S. Mr. Hench, who has been directly involved in the acquisition and disposition of $4.8 billion of investments, also has experience in real estate accounting, financial analysis, project management and asset management. Prior Experience Prior to joining the Strategic Partners Team, Mr. Hench served as Managing Director of Acquisitions, overseeing the acquisition of all core domestic equity investments for CBRE Global Investors. In this role, he developed and implemented client investment strategies and directed the activities of a 14-person acquisitions department. Mr. Hench also served as a senior asset manager responsible for investment management, leasing, operation, and disposition of properties in the western United States. Before joining CBRE Global Investors, Mr. Hench was with KPMG working in the areas of real estate accounting and finance. Additionally, he was Assistant Project Manager with CalFed Enterprises, the real estate development subsidiary of California Federal Savings and Loan. ​
