As Lionstone’s Chief Financial Officer, Andrew is responsible for executing the directives of the CEO through the oversight of all financial aspects of the firm and maximizing the return on financial assets by establishing policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Additionally, he is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the Accounting, Finance, Financial Reporting, Payroll, Human Resources, and Compliance departments. Prior to joining Lionstone in 2014, he was CFO of Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT I and II, two non-traded public companies with total equity capitalization of approximately $800 million. Andrew was also the head of their capital markets team, and was responsible for all of the company’s debt strategies. During his tenure, he financed over $6 billion in transactions. Before that, Andrew was the vice president in charge of capital markets for AMLI Residential Properties Trust where he financed over $1 billion in transactions and also assisted with investor reporting and investment proposals for AMLI’s development and institutional co-investment business. Andrew is a graduate of Western Michigan University, received his MBA from The University of Chicago, and holds a CPA designation.
Andy joined Lionstone in 2011 and manages the investment process on all new acquisitions, including sourcing, pricing, bidding, and closing. He is responsible for oversight of the Acquisitions team, managing communication with brokers and operating partners, and he assists with sourcing capital for current and future funds. He became a partner at the firm in 2016. Prior to joining Lionstone, he worked in the Real Estate Investment Banking group at Goldman Sachs where he helped execute various strategic advisory transactions and capital raises with a combined value of over $9 billion for clients in the real estate and lodging industries. Previously, he worked in the Acquisitions group at LaSalle Investment Management, where he helped acquire over $4 billion in real estate assets on behalf of institutional investors. Andy is a graduate of Dartmouth College and received his MBA at The University of Texas.
As CIO, Bryan serves as chair of the Investments Committee and oversees the Acquisitions, Research and Analytics, and Risk Management teams. He is also managing the expansion of Lionstone’s research and analytics platform and support team. Previously, he served as a portfolio manager for core plus and opportunistic funds, including Lionstone’s U.S. Land One and Two funds. Bryan joined the firm in 2005 and was named partner and co-chief investment officer in 2016. He has also served as a senior acquisitions officer, sourcing investments across Lionstone’s core, value-add, and opportunistic platforms with specific market responsibility for Denver, Washington DC, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Previously he worked for Verde Realty, a real estate investment firm focused on the U.S.–Mexico border, and for a publicly-traded oil exploration company with operations in Latin America. Bryan is a graduate of Georgetown University and received an MBA from Harvard.
Dan is a founding partner of Lionstone Investments and serves on both the Operating Committee and the Partners’ Council. He leads capital formation across the firm’s investment strategies, with primary responsibility for LP relationships, fundraising and new business incubation and fund vehicles. Previously he served as portfolio manager for several core, core plus, and value-add funds, including the $1.1 billion joint venture with the Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund and the $1.7 billion account relationship with the CalSTRS. Prior to Lionstone, Dan was a senior officer with Hines where, during his ten-year career, he led Hines’ first U.S. acquisition, first large-scale international development, and all of Hines’ business in Mexico. He built the Mexican operation from inception and ultimately supervised 150 employees. Prior to Hines, Dan was an auditor and consultant with Arthur Andersen LLP in New York. He received a BS in business administration from Georgetown University and MBA from Harvard University where he was a senior lecturer.
As CEO, Jane oversees the firm’s structure, strategy, and performance, including short- and long-term growth, marketing initiatives, and development of budget and execution strategies. She joined Lionstone in 2012, serving as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer for two years before becoming CEO. Prior to that, she was a managing director for Crescent Real Estate Equities for ten years, where she was responsible for asset management, leasing, and operations. In addition, she provided leadership to the development and implementation of the strategies and operations of that company. Jane also spent 15 years with Metropolitan Life, where she served as southwest regional manager of real estate investments which had a $26 billion portfolio, and included commercial assets located in Houston, Austin, New Orleans, and San Antonio. Prior to this assignment, Jane served on the National Investments Committee responsible for approving and reporting all asset management real estate transactions to the MetLife Finance Committee. She graduated with a BBA in business administration and economics from Point Loma College in San Diego and an MBA in real estate finance from the University of San Francisco.
As COO at Lionstone Investments, Tom is responsible for optimizing firm performance through effective management of resources and talent. He also oversees execution within Lionstone’s Portfolio Management, Asset Management, and Development Services teams. He joined Lionstone in 2007 and has served as a portfolio manager for several of the firm’s value-add and core investment accounts. He became a partner at the firm in 2016. Prior to joining Lionstone, Tom received his MBA from The University of Texas where he specialized in real estate finance and private equity. Prior to that, he spent four years as a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he served clients such as ExxonMobil, Shell Oil, and ConocoPhillips. Tom earned a BBA in finance with a minor in accounting from The University of Texas.
