After graduating from McGill University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Lorne spent several years in the semiconductor industry before building and managing a cross country team at Hewlett Packard that helped Fortune 500 companies including Motorola, GM, Ford and Unilever design and optimize their business and production processes to reduce costs and increase efficiencies for improved financial returns. In 1996, Lorne left HP to launch a Consulting services organization delivering Information Technology services and products that enabled corporations to operate their business more effectively by turning their corporate data into knowledge and information. Having built and renovated several personal homes, Lorne started a residential construction business in Arizona that optimized the building process enabling the completion of large custom homes in under 90 days. In 2005, Lorne and some partners acquired a small Multi-Family apartment in central Phoenix with a goal of renovating and converting to Townhomes for sale. In 2009, following the implosion of the Real Estate market, Lorne designed and launched BridgePoint Home Ownership Inc, a Real Estate services business that purchased, renovated, rented, and sold over 100 single family homes in the Greater Phoenix and Greenville, SC areas.
