Stewart Homler

Stewart Homler co-founded Spoke Real Estate Capital in 2016. He has 30 years of institutional investment experience across real estate, private equity, corporate lending and restructurings. Over this period, Mr. Homler actively constructed and managed investment portfolios on behalf of both institutional and wealth management clients. The first 10 years of his professional career was spent in New York followed by 17 years in Asia. During his time in the U.S. and in Asia, he held senior management positions at several global investment firms including MetLife Investments, Credit Suisse, Prudential UK Asset Management, Deutsche Bank Asset Management, and AIG Asset Management. Though involved in real estate investing throughout his career, in 2010 Mr. Homler decided to focus his attention on this asset class. During the period of 2011-2015, he was a principal investor alongside Core Real Estate Capital, a real estate investment firm. Mr. Homler was involved in investment strategy, acquisition due diligence, deal structuring, transaction documentation, global fund raising, asset management, and investor relations. During his association with the firm, over 7,000 multifamily apartment units were acquired across 12 investments. Mr. Homler holds a MS (Real Estate Investment and Development) from New York University and an MBA (Finance) & BSM (Accounting) from Tulane University.

Michael Levin

Michael Levin co-founded Spoke Real Estate Capital in 2016. He has been involved in real estate and investment banking over the past 20 years. Prior to co-founding Spoke, he was a Partner at Core Real Estate Capital, a real estate investment firm. During his 9 years at Core, Mr. Levin played a key role in helping to lead the firm as it experienced strong growth of assets under management. His main responsibilities included sourcing, analyzing, negotiating, structuring, and executing transactions. In addition, he was involved in developing the firm’s investment strategy and also served as the Chief Compliance Officer for the firm’s Broker/Dealer. Mr. Levin participated in numerous transactions covering multifamily apartments, medical office, hotels, student housing, and retail. He executed nearly $1 billion worth of real estate transactions over 24 different transactions. Prior to joining Core, Mr. Levin worked as an investment banker in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at both Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns. He analyzed and structured transactions for Fortune 500 clients, as well as noted private equity firms. He also worked at a $1 billion opportunistic real estate fund, where he executed transactions in the multifamily, office and industrial segments. Prior to obtaining his MBA from Duke University, he co-founded an integrated marketing firm in 1997 which he used to conduct a roll-up strategy in the Marketing Services industry and ultimately created a company with over $50 million in billings. Mr. Levin holds a BSBA (Business Administration) from Boston University (receiving the Capstone Award) and an MBA (Finance) from Duke University.
