Bradley Beile

Mr. Beile joined JBC in 2011 and is a Principal of the firm. His primary responsibilities include securing equity and debt capital for the fund and development groups, marketing, portfolio management, investor relations and financial reporting. Mr. Beile is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining JBC, Mr. Beile was a Managing Director at Transwestern Investment Company responsible for the firm’s debt capital markets activity, sourcing and managing institutional partner relationships, portfolio management, and financial reporting. From 1998 to 2010, Mr. Beile helped raise over $3.5 billion of institutional equity capital and closed over $6 billion of financings secured by office, industrial, retail, and multifamily properties. Previously, Mr. Beile was Vice President of Heller Financial, Inc. where he was responsible for originating equity investments and fixed-rate loans in the Midwest. Also, he was an Asset Manager at VMS Realty Partners, L.P. where he was responsible for various office, hotel, multifamily, and retail properties throughout the U.S. Mr. Beile earned his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Iowa and his M.B.A. in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago. Mr. Beile is a board member and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Oak Park Residence Corporation, a non-profit, affordable housing organization. He is a member of the Corporate Advisory Committee for The Nature Conservancy, a member of the Urban Land Institute, and an Illinois real estate broker.

Steve Schiltz

Mr. Schiltz joined JBC in 2000 and is Director of Asset Management and Principal. His responsibilities include overseeing the asset management of investments, managing the acquisition process of new investments, and coordinating due diligence. Prior to joining JBC, Mr. Schiltz oversaw new equity acquisitions and debt investments as a Principal at Lend Lease Real Estate Investments (formerly Equitable Real Estate). During his five years in this position, he was an integral team member in approximately 40 office, apartment, retail and industrial investments with an aggregate value of approximately $2.5 billion. Mr. Schiltz was also the Midwest regional appraiser for Equitable Real Estate Investments where he oversaw the valuation of the Midwest region’s 140-asset, $3.4 billion portfolio. Prior to this position, he was an appraiser and consultant with RERC, Shlaes & Co. (formerly Pannell Kerr Foster). Mr. Schiltz earned a B.A. in Business and Management from Northeastern Illinois University, and an M.B.A. from DePaul University’s Graduate School of Business in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Schiltz is an MAI (Member Appraisal Institute), as well as an Illinois State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and Licensed Real Estate Salesperson.

Blake Johnson

Mr. Johnson rejoined JBC in 2009 and now serves as President and Principal of the firm. Mr. Johnson has primary responsibility for overseeing equity investments and management of the JBC staff. He also coordinates related fund activities, including marketing, reporting, development, financing and asset management. He provides oversight for JBC’s separate account clients. Mr. Johnson serves on JBC’s Board of Directors and is a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining JBC, Mr. Johnson spent twelve years as a Managing Director with New York-based Eastdil Secured. His responsibilities included investment sale and financing advisory in multiple product types. Mr. Johnson’s experience totals over $10 billion in transactions including Sears Tower, UBS Tower, 181 West Madison, Prudential Plaza, John Hancock Center, IBM Plaza, Riverway, and O’Hare International Center. Mr. Johnson’s earlier experience includes five years with Prudential Real Estate Investors/PRISA in New Jersey and Chicago. Mr. Johnson earned a B.A. in Economics from Rice University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. Mr. Johnson is also involved within the real estate community including Urban Land Institute, Pension Real Estate Association, and the Chicago Chamber of Commerce.

John A. Buck founded The John Buck Company in 1981 and serves as its Chairman. Mr. Buck oversees the operation of the firm’s comprehensive real estate services, including: development; financial services; and asset management services for commercial, mixed-use, residential and retail properties throughout the world. JBC is a privately owned, vertically integrated, full-service real estate company headquartered in Chicago. JBC has developed, redeveloped and/or acquired more than 45 properties representing in excess of 40.7 million square feet of office, retail, hotel and residential projects that have generated more than $10.5 billion in cumulative transaction volume. Throughout his career, Mr. Buck has served the community through numerous civic boards and committees. In addition to The John Buck Company Foundation, which focuses on at-risk children and families within the Chicago metro-area, Mr. Buck has served on the Metropolitan Planning Council; The Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago; The Lyric Opera; San Miguel Schools; and, The Big Shoulders Fund. In 2011, Mr. Buck was the recipient of the Civic Federation’s Lyman Gage Award and The Urban Land Institute Chicago’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Buck has also served on various industry panels. Mr. Buck received a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, a JD from the University of Texas Law School, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and Finance.

RICHARD LINDSAY

Mr. Lindsay joined JBC in 2012 and now serves as Chief Executive Officer, Co-Director of Development, and Principal for the firm. Mr. Lindsay directs all aspects of the firm’s development activity and oversees the accounting group. Mr. Lindsay serves on JBC’s Board of Directors and is a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Lindsay’s prior experience includes prominent companies such as Kerzner International, KL Developments, and Reichmann International. His background includes establishing project specific development companies from inception through to the completion of the asset. He also has represented investors and owners while providing strategic advice on the structuring and execution of developments. Projects include developing sports facilities for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, GA; office and mixed use developments in Mexico City and Canary Wharf in London, England; media/studios working to create the Abu Dhabi Media City; and resort/boutique hotels in India, Dubai, and Africa. Mr. Lindsay’s professional involvement outside of JBC includes The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Kevin Hites

Mr. Hites joined JBC in 2014 and serves as Chief Investment Officer, Principal and Board Member with primary responsibility for the development and implementation of investment strategy, oversight and coordination of the firm’s investment activities and the origination of new investment opportunities. Mr. Hites is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining JBC, Mr. Hites was Chief Investment Officer at Pearlmark Real Estate Partners, where he oversaw and coordinated the firm’s investment activities. He managed the West Coast office in Los Angeles for five years and was a member of the firm’s investment and management committees. He invested over $2 billion in real estate across the U.S. on behalf of Pearlmark’s private equity funds during his 15-year tenure at the firm. Previously, Mr. Hites was with ING Clarion Partners and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group, both in New York. Mr. Hites earned his A.B. degree in Business Economics at Brown University and his M.B.A. at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is a member of Urban Land Institute.

Charles Beaver

Mr. Beaver joined JBC in 2000 and currently serves as Head of JBC Funds and Principal with the primary responsibility for the Fund Group’s activities including marketing, reporting, development, property management, investor relations, and leasing. Mr. Beaver has senior management responsibility for all acquisitions made by the Fund Group. He also provides oversight for JBC separate account clients. Mr. Beaver serves on JBC’s Board of Directors and is a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining JBC, Mr. Beaver was Principal and Regional Manager for the Midwest Region of an international real estate advisory firm, Lend Lease Real Estate Investments (formerly Equitable Real Estate). In the nine years he held this position, Mr. Beaver oversaw a $3.4 billion portfolio of office, retail, multi-family and industrial properties which were all acquired and asset managed by a forty-member Chicago-based staff. The 13-state Midwest office for Lend Lease exceeded $2.5 billion in new investment equity acquisitions over a four-year period beginning in 1996. Mr. Beaver earned a B.S. in Business Administration majoring in Real Estate and Insurance, from Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania. Mr. Beaver has been awarded the MAI (Member Appraisal Institute) designation.
