New Take on Life, Team Leadership, and More
It’s the end of August. I’ve been reflecting on my summer.
I managed to climb two mountains on my list – Mt Logan and Mt Damavand. I managed to visit five countries. I learned that two people I know personally went through cancer.
And then I came across Tim Urban’s epic article. It shares a simple yet powerful idea on how to view our lives.
Instead of measuring your life in units of time, you can measure it in activities or events.
Reading through the list makes you pause and rethink. It makes you appreciate every moment, every day even more.
It also makes you more selective about the projects you work on and the people you keep around as time is limited.

A team leadership tip: Every time you join a new team and start observing things, make a list of things that make you go “WTF” and things you want to change. Then start asking questions from there. Does it make sense? Why is it done this way? Is it worth changing?
