Mr. Sweet is President of AMLI Residential and has been associated with the Company since 1985. Prior to joining AMLI, Mr. Sweet was a Partner in the Chicago law firm of Schiff Hardin & Waite, with which he had been associated since 1978. He received a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1968 and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1973. From 1980 to 1983, Mr. Sweet was a trustee of American Equity Investment Trust, an over-the-counter equity REIT.
Mr. Veltri is Senior Vice President and Head of the Asset Management department. Prior to joining AMLI in 2005, he was the Senior Manager of Cost Assurance at Focal/Broadwing Communications (2000-05). He graduated with a B.S. from Bradley University in 1999.
Mr. Mutz is the Chairman & CEO of AMLI Residential, which he co-founded in 1980. Mr. Mutz serves on the Board of RBI Holdings, a St. Petersburg, Russia based real estate company (2007-present) and serves on the Board of WAN, S.A., a real estate company headquartered in Warsaw, Poland (2007-present). Mr. Mutz is a Trustee of the Aston Family of Mutual Funds (1993-present). He received a B.A. from DePauw University in 1967 and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1973. Mr. Mutz served as an infantry lieutenant in Vietnam (1968-69)
Mr. Shapiro is Senior Vice President and Head of Acquisitions and Dispositions. He has been with AMLI since 1984. He works with AMLI’s Investment Committee buying and selling existing apartment communities. He is also responsible for managing AMLI’s real estate tax expense and budget. Mr. Shapiro received a BA from New York University and a JD from the John Marshall Law School. He has served on the board of the National Multihousing Council.
Mr. McCormick is Senior Vice President and Co-Head of Acquisitions. Prior to joining AMLI in 2006, Mr. McCormick worked in investment banking and private equity. He received a B.A. in Economics and Public Policy from Duke University and an MBA from Wharton. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Real Estate Investment Association, and the Chicago Real Estate Private Equity Network. Mr. McCormick is a LEED Accredited Professional.
