Arvind Chary

Arvind Chary is the Managing Partner & Co-Founder of Atlas Real Estate Partners. Prior to forming Atlas, Arvind was the Director of Acquisitions at Woodlark Capital, an owner-operator of student housing throughout the United States. In this role, he led a team that built Woodlark into one of the largest owners of student housing in the country. Prior to joining Woodlark, Arvind worked in originations in the CMBS group at Countrywide Commercial Real Estate Finance, Inc., where he was part of a team that issued over $2B of Commercial Mortgaged Backed Securities. Prior to joining Countrywide, Arvind worked at Boston Capital, the largest owner of the multifamily in the U.S. Arvind holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Tufts University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Arvind is the founder of the Tufts Real Estate Network, founder of the New York South Asian Real Estate Network, Co-Chair of the Convenant House Real Estate Executive Sleep Out and former President of the Columbia Business School Real Estate Association. He was a semi-finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernest & Young and selected as a 2015 Emerging Multifamily Leader. Arvind was a former college golfer and still competes regularly with low to mid….well actually high handicappers.

Co-Founder

Alex Foster

Alex Foster is the Managing Partner & Co-Founder at Atlas Real Estate Partners. Alex is involved in all aspects of company leadership, including acquisitions financing, asset management, investor relations. Prior to founding Atlas, Alex was at Argent Ventures, a New York based owner-operator. In this role, he identified, analyzed and helped negotiate value-add acquisition opportunities across various asset types, geographies, and ownership positions. Additionally, he assisted in the asset management of the existing mixed-use portfolio totaling $500M in assets. Prior to joining Argent, Alex was part of the acquisitions/finance team at Rockrose Development, assisting in the full-scale execution of several office buildings in New York and Washington D.C., with a combined value of $600M. Additionally, he assisted in the execution of $500M in multifamily construction loans and refinancings. Alex also spent two years working in the Real Estate Finance group at Bank of America helping to negotiate and structure new commercial loan requests totaling more than $100M. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Tufts University and a Masters in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Alex is an avid traveler, and also enjoys tennis, golf, running, art, and sampling New York’s dining establishments. Alex is married with one daughter and has been widely recognized as one of the finest husband’s and fathers on the east coast. Role models include his father, James Foster, Rudy, and Larry David.

Chief Investment Officer

Dave Wallace

David Wallace is the Chief Investment Officer of Atlas Real Estate Partners. Prior to Atlas, David was a Vice President in the Acquisitions Group at Beacon Capital Partners, where he assisted with over $10 billion of transactions, including direct investments, recapitalizations, bridge equity syndications, ground-up developments, note purchases, and loan restructurings for Class A Office properties in primary markets located in the U.S. and Europe. During his five years at Beacon, David was involved in all aspects of the real estate investment life-cycle and oversaw various asset management functions for select properties, such as lease and credit analyses for potential lease transactions, reforecast modeling to monitor investment performance, and strategic analytics with a focus on business plan implementation. In 2010 and 2011, David was also a member of the company’s Debt Committee which restructured single asset and portfolio level debt (including securitized, bank, and life-company loans). David received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tufts University.

Joe Stampone

Joe is VP of Investments of Atlas. Joe’s responsibilities include sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities, asset management, and developing the company’s strategic vision. Joe holds a BA in Economics with a minor in Entrepreneurial Leadership from Tufts University. While at Tufts, Joe was a four-year varsity soccer players. Joe also received a Masters in Real Estate Finance from New York University where he served as President of the Student Association. Joe is currently a Teacher’s Assistant for the Real Estate Finance & Investments class at NYU. Joe’s passion for real estate is also evident in his blogging. His blog, A Student of the Real Estate Game, has been recognized as one of the ‘Top 10 Most Influential Commercial Real Estate Blogs’. Joe enjoys skiing, boating, golf, cooking, traveling, and dog-sitting.
