A founder of Avesta, Peter participates in all aspects of the company's strategic planning, investment, and property management activities. An active multifamily investor since 2005, Peter has spearheaded Avesta's acquisitions, renovations, and management operations since the firm's inception. He holds a B.A. from Georgetown and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is a licensed CPA in Massachusetts, and an attorney and real estate broker in New York and Massachusetts.
A founder of Avesta, Nathaniel Fischer participates in all aspects of the company's strategic planning, investment, and property management activities. Nathaniel has led the acquisition team during the firm's growth to over 5,000 units, and he continues to oversee all acquisitions and financing activity. He holds a B.A. from Calvin College and a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School. He is an attorney and real estate broker in New York.
Max Amster heads business development activities for Avesta which includes sourcing off-market portfolio acquisition opportunities and establishing and maintaining key investor relationships. Prior to joining Avesta, Max worked at JBA, a boutique merchant bank and management consultancy based in Miami. While in law school, he worked at the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, the U.S. Attorney's Office, and Alston & Bird. He holds a B.A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Scott Bigham oversees construction management, capital planning, and repositioning programs for Avesta and all third party client portfolios. Over the course of his 20-year career in multifamily renovation, Scott has successfully completed over 90 major repositioning or condo conversion projects totalling 20,000 units and $100,000,000 in spend. Prior to Avesta, he served as Vice President of Construction Management for the Pinnacle Companies. Scott holds a B.A. from University of Central Florida and is a licensed real estate broker in Florida.
Rachel Ridley manages accounting, reporting, and support functions at Avesta. Prior to joining Avesta, she was Chief Financial Officer at Altisource Asset Management, where she oversaw the spin-off and SEC registration of the two companies. Rachel also spent 12 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the assurance and business advisory services division, serving REITs, real estate funds and property managers and developers. She holds a B.A. in business from Emory University and a Masters in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. She is also a licensed CPA in Maryland.
