Craig Berger

Craig Berger, CFA CPA founded Avid Realty Partners (ARP), a commercial realty firm focused on Hotel and MFU Apartment assets, and is its CEO and President. Craig is the Senior Project Sponsor and has primary operating responsibility for the assets in Avid Realty Partners’ portfolio, including MFU apartment buildings, Hotels, new development projects underway in Colorado, and others assets. Avid Realty Partners continues to make competitive offers on MFU Apartment and Hotel assets in attractive markets, and expects to acquire additional properties in coming months. Here, Craig leads all property Sourcing, Underwriting, capital Fundraising, and helps identify and implement Operational Improvements. Before scaling this Commercial Realty business, Craig spent more than a decade as a top sell-side semiconductor equity research analyst, including as managing director for FBR Capital Markets (2007-2013) and at Smith Barney Citigroup (2002-2005). Here Craig studied the successes and failures of many management teams, learned about and experienced economic cycles, and saw the best and worst of Risk Management practices. As an Equities Analyst, Craig was a top institutional vote getter, won several awards from Forbes and ThomsonReuters, and had numerous media and press interactions including more than 70 appearances on CNBC. Craig has also worked at Intel Corp. (1999-2002) in positions of increasing responsibility in the CPU and capital spending finance groups, and done Tech Startup consulting and angel investing for firms like THIRSTIE.com and BioIQ, helping round out his operational, strategic, and management expertise.

Scott Rosenthal

Scott Rosenthal splits his time between Avid Realty Partners and Breads of the World LLC, a Panera Bread Franchisee. Scott joined Breads of the World in 2006, and rose to become Director of Real Estate Development. He’s in charge of all aspects of new bakery-cafe site selection and evaluation. Scott has developed a quantitative process that assesses any location across multiple metrics including demographics, competition, financial outcomes, site feasibility, and more. He is also responsible for evaluating existing sites to determine a long-term positioning strategy, and to assess the potential for drive-thru cafe conversions, coordinating the development plan approval, entitlement process, construction permit process, construction management and more. Over the past ten plus years, Scott has been involved with hundreds of real estate deals from land acquisition, development, property disposition, leasing, tenant rep, landlord rep, and lease renewals, to name a few. At Avid Realty Partners, Scott continues this tremendous work, helping us source MFU Apartment and Hotel acquisitions, scouting for and assessing new development opportunities, and working to get our projects through the entitlement, zoning, and development processes. In 2017, Scott earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Denver in Real Estate and Construction Management. He also holds an active Colorado Real Estate Brokers license since 2005.

Mark Kuster

Mark Kuster is SVP Property Renovations at Avid Realty Partners, a commercial realty firm focused on Hotel and MFU Apartment assets. Mark began buying Single Family Homes and Apartment Buildings on the Courthouse steps in 1980 and built up a respectable portfolio of rental properties that he self-managed for over twenty years. Along the way, Mark also built high-end spec-homes, and performed many property renovations as part of his fix and flip business. Mark brings 35-years of renovation and construction experience to our team, where he helps the firm achieve tremendous value-add renovations without over-spending along the way. Mark is also a licensed Tool and Die Maker, and he has become an accomplished MFU Apartment deal underwriter, contributing to our Sourcing and Underwriting efforts on a regular basis.

Erik Rudin

Erik Rudin, along with partner Craig Berger, purchased and run a 95-unit apartment building in St. Louis MO. The team has improved and renovated the property, repositioned this asset, and ramped cash flow while improving the living experience for more than 250 residents. Erik performs other operational duties for Avid Realty Partners, helping to manage property staff persons, assisting with marketing efforts, helping plan and executing renovations and others. Also, Erik has built a portfolio of high-end 2-family and 4-family properties in Clayton MO. He has primary operating responsibility for these assets, is improving and ramping cash flow, and working to reposition the properties as it makes sense. Previously, Erik worked for six years as a mortgage broker. This gives Erik tremendous insight into the local St Louis real estate market including supply trends, demand trends, financing trends, and the amount of inventory on the market. Erik has a number of personal interests including playing golf, exercising at the gym, and taking trips with his fiancy. Also, Erik thoroughly enjoys University of Missouri football and was a former Mizzou Tigers football player himself.
