Jeff Colin founded Baker Street Advisors, LLC in 2004. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and is the Partner in charge of the firm’s Investment Strategy Group. Jeff began his career advising some of the nation’s wealthiest families in 1991.Prior to his current role, Jeff served as the National Head of Wealth Planning for Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, was the Managing Director in charge of the Private Client Division of Robertson Stephens, co-founded the Investment Advisory Services Group of myCFO and worked as a Vice-President in the Private Client Services Division of Goldman Sachs.Jeff holds an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University and a B.S. from Northwestern University.
Jim has over 20 years of experience advising and assisting high net worth families with the investment of their assets. Prior to joining Baker Street Advisors, Jim served as Managing Director and Regional Manager of Private Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs in San Francisco. He spent 9 years building and leading this business. Jim served as a senior advisor to Bay Area clients regarding all aspects of their complex financial lives, and supervised their investments and the 40+ advisors reporting to him. He joined Goldman Sachs in Houston in 1987 to work with the wealthiest families in the Southwestern United States and Mexico. Subsequently, Jim became Managing Director and Regional Manager of Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management in Houston before leading the business in San Francisco.Jim received an M.B.A. from Stanford University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.Jim currently serves on the National Board of Directors for Summer Search, a leadership development non-profit assisting disadvantaged youth. He chairs Summer Search's Development, Nominating and Governance Committees.
Mike has more than 30 years of experience in personal financial planning for executives and other high-net-worth individuals. His experience has been dedicated to designing and implementing investment and financial strategies for high-net-worth clients.Prior to joining Baker Street Advisors, LLC, Mike spent five years at myCFO as Managing Director for the San Francisco office. Additionally, Mike led the personal Finance Specialist Group and Asset Management Consulting Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers in San Francisco, where he oversaw a practice focused on founders and top executives of rapidly growing corporations, assisting them with all aspects of their complex financial lives. He also served as a member of the firm’s National Investment Advisory Board.Mike is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from San Francisco State University.
Since 1993, Chris has worked in the capital markets, working with both institutional and high-net-worth individuals. His institutional investment background provides a valuable perspective when assisting clients in the development and implementation of an investment portfolio and wealth management plan.Prior to joining Baker Street as a partner in 2007, Chris co-founded and co-managed VERITY Wealth Advisors, where he worked with individuals and family groups. Before VERITY, Chris spent ten years as an institutional derivatives salesperson, specializing in currency and equity derivatives. Chris was a senior manager at Merrill Lynch for six years, with responsibility for the firm’s institutional equity-linked business in the Western U.S. Previously, Chris was an equity derivative specialist at Barclays de Zoete Wedd, Ltd and a currency derivative specialist at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York.Chris graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in French, and was awarded a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2001 from the CFA Institute.
