Michael Freno is Head of Babson’s U.S. and Global High Yield Investments Group and Chairman of the firm’s U.S. High Yield Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Global High Yield Committee, Global Strategy Committee and Global Distressed Committee, as well as a portfolio manager on several of the firm’s high yield strategies. He is responsible for management of the firm’s global loan and global multi-strategy portfolios. Michael has extensive industry experience on the buy-side, focusing on both equity and debt investments over the last 17 years. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, he was a research analyst for Mangan & McColl Partners, LLC, where he focused on equity and credit analysis for the firm's special situations and distressed investments. Prior to that, he was a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Michael holds a B.A. from Furman University and an M.B.A. from the Wake Forest Babcock School of Business.
Matthew Natcharian is Head of Babson’s Structured Credit Investment Group and a member of the firm’s Global Strategy Committee. He actively participates in the portfolio management of all structured credit focused portfolios and is responsible for structured credit investments, primarily in collateralized loan obligations. Matthew has over 19 years of industry experience that has encompassed CLOs and securitized corporate credit, including synthetic credit products. Prior to joining the firm in 1995, he was a financial information analyst at Allmerica Financial and also New England Mutual Life. He has served as a Director of Invicta Capital LLC, a credit derivative product company, from 2008 through 2014, and was responsible for the credit underwriting and monitoring of the credit portfolio. Matthew holds a B.S. in Finance from Bentley University and is a member of the CFA Institute.
David Nagle is the head of Babson’s Investment Grade Fixed Income Group. He is responsible for the portfolio management of the firm’s investment grade strategies, serving as lead or co-portfolio manager on the Premier Core Bond Fund, Premier Diversified Bond Fund and numerous separate accounts. David joined the firm in 1986 and has over 28 years of industry experience that has encompassed multi-sector portfolio and risk management, and asset allocation. David holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from Lafayette College and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Dr. Ricardo Adrogué is head of Babson’s Emerging Markets Debt Group. He is also lead portfolio manager for the firm’s Emerging Markets Local Debt strategy, and co-portfolio manager for the firm’s Emerging Markets Sovereign Hard Currency Debt, Blended Total Return Debt Strategy and Short Duration Bond Strategies. Ricardo has 22 years of industry experience that has encompassed portfolio management, economic strategy and academia. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, he was at Cabezon Investment Group, LLC as well as at Wellington Management Company where he built a successful track record for the Emerging Markets Local Debt program and managed over $11 billion. Before Wellington, Ricardo worked at the International Monetary Fund conducting inflation modeling work for central banks and was country desk for Brazil, Costa Rica, and Trinidad and Tobago. He also worked with Salomon Smith Barney/Citigroup as a vice president of markets and economic analysis, a senior economist and a strategist for Panama and Peru, and New York University as an adjunct professor of Latin American Economics. Ricardo holds a B.A. in Economics from the Universidad Católica Argentina, an M.A. in Economics and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
