BAM has grown from management of a few small properties to over 75 million in total assets. With a mindset of steady and deliberate growth the company continues to expand its portfolio. The team is comprised of 30 employees with many decades of experience in apartment management and ownership. Further, the company strives to execute best practices in leasing, marketing, back-office infrastructure, technology, timely service, renovations, maintenance and valuable outside vendor relationships. BAM continuously strives to perform at a high level for its own portfolio as well as its third party property management portfolio.

Founder

Ivan Barratt has spent much of his life in and around multifamily real estate. In 2001, Ivan graduated from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business in Bloomington with a BS in Finance | Real Estate. Ivan founded his own firm, Barratt Asset Management, in July 2010. The company's main focus is on the effective management of residential and multifamily income properties. Today Ivan and his affiliated companies own over 600 doors, while Barratt Asset Management handles all aspects of asset and property management. Additionally, the company is the third-party manager to over 400 units.

Executive Officer / Director

Adam Ehret handles acquisition, property financing and asset management duties along with Ivan Barratt. Additionally, Adam is responsible for managing due diligence of all assets underwritten for acquisition and oversight of all capital projects completed during ownership. Prior to joining BAM, Adam worked as a Multi-Family investment broker for Cushman & Wakefield. His experience includes: Single and Portfolio Assets, Market Rate, Student Housing, Distressed (Foreclosure, DIL, Receivership) and Affordable (LIHTC, USDA) assets. Adam holds a BS in Business Management and Marketing from Marian University, Indianapolis.

Director of Maintenance

Jerry Hyatt currently serves as BAM'S Director of Maintenance. Jerry oversees and manages daily operations of the maintenance department, vendors and contractors. He brings over 20 years of single family, multifamily and commercial maintenance and construction experience. Jerry is actively involved in the Indiana Apartment Association and has instructed courses for the CAMT (certified apartment maintenance technician) program/designation. He has overseen a portfolio of 29 properties and 2,400 plus units, with a mix of multifamily homes and commercial space. He specializes in electrical, HVAC and renovations. Jerry firmly believes in delivering a solid product and complete customer service.

Director of Finance & Operations

As the Director of Finance & Operations for Barratt Asset Management, Emilee oversees the company’s financial analysis and reporting efforts. She is responsible for developing best practices and performing managerial audits in order to recommend proactive strategies which propel the firm’s growth. Emilee monitors the preparation of client reporting packages and coordinates investor relations activities to serve the firm’s sophisticated client base. Prior to joining Barratt Asset Management, Emilee was a Property Accountant and Project Manager at Summit Realty Group. Her extensive experience in the Real Estate industry has allowed her to develop a well-rounded skillset and has made her an invaluable asset to the team at BAM. Emilee holds a BS in Finance from the University of Southern Indiana and is currently pursuing her MBA at Butler University.
