As a founder of Cadence Capital, Chris Garvin’s overall responsibility is to identify and pursue new projects and acquisitions for the firm. Chris’ experience began in the commercial real estate brokerage field and has evolved from selling commercial properties to clients, to now acquiring various properties for Cadence Capital and its investors. His principle for investment stems from the “value add” approach, which entails acquiring a property with the intent to reposition the asset in a way that increases the property’s overall income through making selective investments to maximize the potential return for investors. Chris was born and raised in Seattle and attended Washington State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance.

As a founder of Cadence Capital, Barrett Johnston’s responsibility is to implement and manage the rehabilitation of properties and oversee the property management operations. Barrett received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. He then began working in the high-end custom home building field as a carpenter. Following this he received his Certificate in Construction Management from the University of Washington. Since then, he has worked in project management overseeing the financial responsibilities of commercial construction projects. This experience affords Barrett the opportunity to deliver a high level of craftsmanship while keeping costs to a minimum on each project.

John oversee's the property management division at Cadence Real Estate which includes a portfolio totaling $300 million in assets. John has been in the multifamily and commercial real estate industry since 2007, specializing in asset repositioning, property management, real estate syndication, project management, and real estate acquistion/dispositions. John was born and raised in Seattle and graduated from Washington State University.

Sam is in charge of all building operations, resident relations, and maintenance request coordination. The majority of Sam's property management experience comes from successfully managing properties in downtown Seattle for Riverstone Residential.
