Steen Watson is primarily responsible for sourcing and executing investment opportunities on behalf of Chestnut Development Partners, as well as overseeing asset and portfolio management. Steen's experience includes investment sales brokerage positions at commercial real estate services firms Trammell Crow and CB Richard Ellis in Washington, DC. Immediately prior to founding Chestnut Development Partners, Steen was involved in the acquisition and investment management efforts for a retail development partnership based in Nashville, TN. Steen received both a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Vanderbilt University. Prior to attending business school, Steen owned and managed a group of four grocery stores in and around Cleveland, TN. Steen lives in Chattanooga with his wife and three children.

Garry Rodgers brings extensive brokerage, development and asset management experience to Chestnut Development Partners. Garry focuses primarily on building and maintaining relationships with partners and investors. Additionally, Garry is engaged in the sourcing of new investment opportunities. Prior to founding Chestnut Development Partners, Garry led the development and brokerage efforts for a family partnership which developed numerous office, retail and industrial properties. Garry received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Garry lives on a farm outside of Cleveland, TN with his wife and three children.

Prior to joining Chestnut Development Partners in 2014, Hailey Johnston served 27 months in the United States Peace Corps in Senegal, West Africa. During her time in Senegal, she became fluent in Pulaar, the local language, and executed a latrine construction project. Her experiences abroad were formative, providing her with unique communication and marketing challenges amidst diverse cultural landscapes and within extreme physical environments. After returning to Chattanooga, Hailey worked in the final title policy department at Title Guaranty and Trust Company, where she developed an interest in commercial real estate. This interest eventually led to a meeting with Steen and Garry, who brought her into the Chestnut Development Family as Investment Services Coordinator.

Kennedy Griffin joined Chestnut Development Partners an as Associate. Kennedy’s primary responsibilities relate to asset management of the Partnership’s investments. Prior to joining Chestnut, Kennedy held General Counsel positions with two companies, one in Texas and one in Mississippi. Kennedy brings experience in partnership structuring and investments from his time with a family-owned firm engaged in oil and gas exploration.
