Christopher Weil

Christopher Weil is one of Christopher Weil & Company Inc.'s four Investor-Manager-Advisors as well as the Chairman of the Board. He is also the Chairman of CWC affiliates Storage Managers, Inc. ("SMI") and CWC Asset Advisors, Inc. ("CWCAA"), companies involved in the formation and management of a number of private-equity funds owning various real estate, oil/gas, small business, venture capital and hedge fund assets. Chris entered the securities business in 1963 and formed his own investment firm in 1970. For fifteen years he owned and operated the original CWC and a related real-estate investment company until their sale in 1985 to an affiliate of a New York Stock Exchange-listed company. In 1989, after spending three years with the buyer of his company, Chris formed The Weil Company (which has used CWC as a dba since 1996) and SMI to provide portfolio management, investment advisory and private equity services. He formed CWCAA in 2000. Chris has been continuously involved as CEO or Chairman of these businesses since their founding. Chris is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles. He is Director of San Diego Grantmakers, the San Diego Mainly Mozart Festival and the Patricia & Christopher Weil Family Foundation. He serves on the Audit Committee of the Jacobs Family Foundation/Jacobs Center for Community Innovation and is a trustee of the UCSD Foundation. He has been active on a number of for-profit and non-profit boards for many years. Chris and his wife, Patricia, live in Del Mar, California. They have three children (all of whom, and one son-in-law, work for Christopher Weil & Company, Inc.) and five grandchildren.

John Wells

John Wells is a graduate of the University of Redlands with a BA in American and Asian History and Politics. From 1989 to 1993 John served as a consultant to both Yusen Air & Sea and Christopher Weil & Company, Inc. In 1993 John joined Christopher Weil & Company, Inc., as Chief Technology Officer and Head Trader. In 1997 he became CWC's Chief Operating Officer and, in 2004, its President and CEO. In addition John serves as one of Christopher Weil & Company, Inc.'s Investor-Manager-Advisors. John also serves as President and CEO of Christopher Weil & Company, Inc. affiliate CWC Asset Advisors, Inc. He is a FINRA-registered principal, a Registered Options and Security Futures Principal ("ROSFP") and a registered equity and debt trader. John lives in Del Mar with Kit (his co-worker and wife) and their teenage son and daughter. He spends his free time surfing, enjoying the company of his kids, creating programming solutions to improve CWC's platform and dreaming of the day when he and Kit can see more of the world.

Matthew Weil

Matthew Weil joined Christopher Weil & Company, Inc. in January 2009 after nearly two decades litigating intellectual property matters, principally patents. He is currently a registered investment advisor and a licensed real estate broker (Cal. Real Estate Broker License No. 01868249). Matthew serves as an Investor~Manager~Advisor for CWC and General Counsel for CWC Asset Advisors, Inc. Before joining CWC, Matthew was a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. He is a past President of the Orange County Patent Law Association and a current Director of both the National Conflict Resolution Center and the Patricia & Christopher Weil Family Foundation. He also serves on the board of Photometics, Inc. and formerly served on the board of Vessix Vascular, Inc., two for-profit companies. He is a member of the Advisory Counsel of the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory. Matthew has a BA in History and Russian Language from the University of California, Davis, a Masters in Political Science from Columbia University, and a J.D. from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. He is fluent in Russian. Matt lives in Carmel Valley with his wife and their elementary-school-aged daughter. He spends his free time cooking exotic dishes and attempting to keep up with his daughter's busy schedule.

Robert Gaan

Robert Gaan earned a BA in Economics from University of California, Los Angeles in 1984. He holds a Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from University of California, Berkeley Extension and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM practitioner. He began his career in 1984 as a financial analyst with Angeles Corporation, a real estate investment syndicator. From 1988 through 1999, Robert was an investor services manager for Public Storage, Inc. Robert became associated with Christopher Weil & Company, Inc. in 1994, undertaking a variety of investment advisory and investment banking assignments, and currently serves as one of its four Investor-Manager-Advisors. Robert's background in financial planning and investments serves to address high-net-worth customers' needs in areas of retirement and estate planning, college funding, taxation and insurance. Rob is a FINRA-registered principal and is a California Life Agent. Robert serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory.
