Cypress Equities was founded in 1995 and launched as the development affiliate of The Staubach Company. The portfolio grew quickly, and Cypress Equities established its own national reputation synonymous with the premier development, operation and management of destination-class retail, residential and mixed-use properties in the U.S. and abroad. Today, there are five Cypress Equities offices throughout the U.S., including Dallas (headquarters), New York, San Francisco, Atlanta and Fort Lauderdale. Over the course of 18 years, Cypress Equities companies have been actively involved in over 200 real estate investments, valued at more than $4 billion, including over $1 billion of total invested equity. The portfolio of projects has historically consisted of commercial development, investment, and sale-leaseback transactions, including more than 17 million square feet of retail, office, residential, automotive and industrial real estate. Jeff joined Cypress Equities in 1998 and is responsible for the development process nationwide. As managing director, he helps manage the day-to-day operations of Cypress and is a member of Cypress’ investment committee. His construction and development background gives him a broad understanding of the real estate industry. Jeff’s experience ranges from property management and construction, to land acquisition, office development and retail development. Prior to joining Cypress, Jeff worked with Cottonwood Partners as the head of their property management division and was responsible for the oversight of 35 employees and a nine-property portfolio totaling over 1.5 million square feet of Class A office buildings.
Brian joined Cypress Equities and SRS Real Estate Partners as chief financial officer in January 2000. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has extensive real estate experience. Brian is responsible for directing the financial and accounting functions of Cypress Equities and Cypress-related partnerships. Brian serves on Cypress’ executive committee and investment committee. Until 2009, Brian was CFO of Staubach Retail Services and served on its board of directors and executive committee. Brian has more than 20 years of operational and financially related real estate experience including five years with AMRESCO, Inc., where he served as financial reporting manager. Prior to joining AMRESCO, Brian served as an assistant controller for Centex, Inc., and as a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen & Company.
Chris is the chief executive officer of Cypress Equities and SRS Real Estate Partners. In 1986, Chris co-founded the retail division of The Staubach Company, Staubach Retail (now known as SRS Real Estate Partners). Currently, Chris serves as CEO of SRS Real Estate Partners and is responsible for growing SRS Real Estate Partners into a leading retail real estate services provider with more than 250 employees and 23 offices worldwide. Chris is also chairman of the board of directors for SRS Real Estate Partners. In 1995, Chris founded Cypress Equities and has overseen its growth over the past 18 years. Today, Cypress Equities operates five regional offices in the U.S. Chris serves as CEO and chairman of the board for Cypress Equities.
