Chief Executive Officer

William Stein

A. William Stein (Bill) is Digital Realty’s Chief Executive Officer and serves on its Board of Directors. Under Bill’s leadership, Digital Realty has executed a series of transformational transactions that have sharpened the company’s strategic focus and significantly enhanced its product offerings. Bill has overseen a doubling of the company’s total enterprise value, as well as its inclusion in the S&P 500 Index. Prior to being named CEO in 2014, Bill served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer. Bill has over 30 years of leadership experience at a wide variety of companies. Before joining Digital Realty in 2004, Bill was with GI Partners (Digital Realty’s predecessor private equity fund); Co-Head of VentureBank@PNC and Media and Communications Finance at The PNC Financial Services Group; President and Chief Operating Officer of TriNet Corporate Realty Trust (now part of iStar Financial); Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of TriNet Corporate Realty Trust; and he previously held a number of senior positions with Westinghouse Electric, Westinghouse Financial Services and Duquesne Light Company. In addition, Bill practiced law for eight years, specializing in litigation as well as securities and finance. Bill also holds leadership roles within the real estate industry. He serves on the executive board of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and the Board of Directors for Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc., where he serves on the Audit Committee. He is also a member of the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics (FCREUE) Policy Advisory Board, as well as the University of Pittsburgh Chancellor’s Global Advisory Council (CGAC). Bill has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Science degree with Distinction from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.

Andrew Power

Andrew (Andy) Power is the Chief Financial Officer of Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR) and is responsible for the company’s financial functions, including financial reporting, capital markets, tax, financial planning and analysis, as well as global asset management operations. Prior to joining Digital Realty, Andy served as Managing Director of the Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging Investment Banking for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for relationships with over 40 public and private companies, including Digital Realty. Prior to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Andy was employed by Citigroup, where he held similar positions. During his career, he has managed the execution of public and private capital raises in excess of $30 billion, including the largest REIT IPO to date, and more than $19 billion of merger and acquisitions transactions. Andy was part of the lead underwriting team that advised Digital Realty on its initial public offering in 2004 and served as a lead manager on nearly every subsequent public capital raise. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Analytical Finance from Wake Forest University.

Scott Peterson

Scott Peterson is the Chief Investment Officer of Digital Realty and is responsible for evaluating the company’s capital allocation decisions. Scott is a co-founder of the company and has played a key role in Digital Realty’s external growth initiatives since its initial public offering in 2004, executing over $17 billion in investments. Prior to Digital Realty, Scott was a Managing Director of GI Partners, Digital Realty’s predecessor private equity fund. Scott has over 30 years of real estate experience, including Senior Vice President with GIC Real Estate, the real estate investment entity for the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. Scott was also active in investments, development and asset management with LaSalle Partners, a real estate services company, and Trammell Crow Company, a real estate developer. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University.

Senior Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing

Daniel Papes

Daniel (“Dan”) Papes joined Digital Realty in October 2016 as Senior Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing. He oversees sales, leasing and marketing efforts across the organization. Prior to joining Digital Realty, Dan served as Executive Vice President for North America at Unify, formerly Siemens Networking Systems, managing all aspects of that business until its acquisition by Atos in 2016. At Unify, he established a new leadership team and led significant growth in sales, revenue and profitability. Before joining Unify, Dan was with Westcon Group as Senior Vice President, Global Cloud and Data Center Services. Previously, he held senior leadership positions over a 27-year career with IBM, primarily in the outsourcing and managed services business, including Vice President of Global Cloud Services Sales and Vice President of Global Telecommunications Industry Sales. He began his career as a sales representative at IBM. Dan received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University.

John Stewart

John Stewart has served as Digital Realty’s Senior Vice President of Investor Relations since August 2013. He has over 15 years of financial services industry experience. Prior to joining Digital Realty, John led the industrial and technology REIT sector coverage at Green Street Advisors, a leading independent real estate research firm. Previously, he was the lead REIT analyst at Credit Suisse. John has followed the REIT sector since 2000, formerly as a member of top-ranked teams at Citigroup Investment Research and Merrill Lynch. John began his career as a credit analyst with the Corporate Finance group at Bank of America. John received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute as well as the New York Society of Securities Analysts. John is also a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and the National Investor Relations Institute.
