FCA Orbita

FCA-ORBITA LLC (FCAO) is a real estate investment and asset management company. Headquartered in New York , the group manages, develops, finances, and operates a broad range of properties, including commercial office buildings, retail malls and residential apartments. While the core of FCAO’s property investments are in Asia where its roots are, the group has extensive investment experience in the United States dating back to the 1970s in which it has successfully invested in and exited assets in California, Texas, Washington and Nevada. Since 2010, the group has focused mainly in the progressive Mid-Atlantic States. Today, it owns around 800 residential units in New York, New Jersey and North Carolina. 300 more are in the process of being developed. It also has interests in hotel properties in Illinois, Indiana and North Carolina, as well as a neighborhood retail center in Oregon.

Rene Benitez currently holds senior positions at firms that own residential and commercial properties in Asia, the United States of America and Europe. Mr. R. Benitez currently manages the Australian Residential and Commercial Property Trust, and Fortman Cline Australasia, a corporate advisory company in Australia. He also serves on boards of several companies and organizations. Rene earned a double BA from Pitzer College, The Claremont Colleges, and a MA from Yale University.

Eric Benitez

Eric Benitez is the managing principal of FCA Orbita LLC. He has worked in real estate for over 2 decades where he spent nearly 10 years working with some of the largest global firms. In the Unites States, Eric represents the Benitez family, a family office that owns and develops real estate properties largely in Asia, including residential, office and retail. The family also owns interests in an investment bank, a publicly-listed consumer finance company, digital media and telephony content, health care, and auto-dealerships. Eric earned his BA from, University of California – Berkeley and his MS from Columbia University.

William Scholz

Bill is a senior executive at S. Muoio & CO. LLC, a deep value investment fund in New York City. Most recently, he was with Morgan Stanley and previously with a number of value investment management firms including a long stint at Gabelli Asset Management Co or GAMCO, where he last served as President of one of its funds. Early in his career, Bill was Vice President-Institutional Research for Prudential-Bache Securities and he was also with Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch Capital Markets. He also worked in Italy as a consultant to Dr. Angelo Zegna, Chairman of Gruppo Ermenegildo Zegna. Bill serves as FCA Orbita’s board adviser providing insights and alternative investment comparatives to real estate. He received an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a Branch Chief of the Interpreter Corps in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Carla Gochman Devillers

Carla Gochman Devillers is an executive at GlimmerDx, LLC, a family holding company for biotech and real estate interests. Most recently, she was with Schultze Asset Management, LLC, a distressed-strategy investment firm with long-short hedge funds, as well as real estate private equity holdings.
