Established in 1978 as a private not-for-profit corporation, Frontier Community Services provides a wide-range of services and support to children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide community-based habilitative, residential and other assistive and supportive services to persons of all ages with developmental disabilities; homemaker and personal care services to elderly and to veterans; and housing development services to low-to-moderate income individuals as well as the general population. We exist to promote, develop, and provide support services to enable you or a loved one to actively pursue a rewarding lifestyle according to your wishes, needs, and capabilities. Our mission and values form the foundation from which all supports are delivered. Our support services are tailored to the unique needs of each person and may range from just a few hours per week to 24-hours per day in a variety of settings. Frontier Community Services is also a nonprofit developer of affordable housing. In addition to the development of family and senior rental housing, we currently develop single-family homes for sale to eligible and qualified families in Ross County. Frontier Community Services’ housing development includes building strategic partnerships, consulting, grant writing, homebuyer education, and providing affordable housing opportunities to low- to moderate-income individuals and families.
