Lloyd Blankfein has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. since June 2006, and a Director since April 2003. He serves as a member of the Goldman Sachs Management Committee and Board of Directors. Previously, he had been the firm’s President and Chief Operating Officer and prior to that, from April 2002 until January 2004, he was a Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs, with management responsibility for Goldman Sachs’ Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Division (FICC) and Equities Division. Prior to becoming a Vice Chairman, he had served as Co-Head of FICC since its formation in 1997. From 1994 to 1997, he headed or co-headed the Currency and Commodities Division. Mr. Blankfein is not currently on the board of any public company other than Goldman Sachs. He is affiliated with certain nonprofit organizations, including as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at Harvard Law School, the Board of Dean’s Advisors of Harvard Business School, the Dean’s Council of Harvard University, the Advisory Board of the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, the Board of Overseers of Weill Cornell Medical College and the Board of the Partnership for New York City.
Richard Friedman is Head of the Merchant Banking Division. He is a member of the Management Committee and is Chairman of the Corporate, Real Estate, and Infrastructure Investment Committees. Mr. Friedman joined the firm in 1981 and became a Partner in 1990. Mr. Friedman serves on the Board of Directors of Global Hyatt Corporation, the Board of Fellows of Brown University and the Board of Trustees of Mount Sinai Hospital.
Timothy O’Neill is Global Co-Head of the Investment Management Division and serves on the Management Committee. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1985 and became a Partner in 1990. Mr. O'Neill serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Museum of American History and Chairman of the Development Committee; member of the Board of Directors of Georgetown University and Chairman of the Committee on Medical Center Affairs; member of the Board of Overseers of the Weill Cornell Medical College and Graduate School of Medical Sciences and Chairman of the Business Finance Committee; and member of the Board of Directors of Global Atlantic Financial Group and Chairman of the Compensation Committee.
John Weinberg has been a Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs since June 2006 and is a member of the Management Committee. He has been Co-Head of Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division since December 2002. From January 2002 to December 2002, he was Co-Head of the Investment Banking Division in the Americas. Prior to that, he served as Co-Head of the Investment Banking Services Department since 1997. He is affiliated with a number of non-profit organizations, including as a trustee of New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Middlebury College, and as an Advisory Director of The Steppingstone Foundation. Mr. Weinberg also serves on the Visiting Committee for Harvard Business School.
Craig Broderick is the firm’s Chief Risk Officer, responsible for credit, market and operational risk, and insurance. He is a member of the Management Committee and is Chairman of the Goldman Sachs Bank Risk Committee, as well as a member of various committees, including the Firmwide Risk Committee, the Firmwide Capital Committee, and the Firmwide Suitability Committee. Previously, Mr. Broderick was Chief Credit Officer until 2008. Prior to that, he was Manager of the European Credit effort based in London from 1986 to 1999. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1985 in the Credit Department in New York. He was named Managing Director in 1998 and Partner in 2000. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Broderick worked at Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Broderick is a member of the College of William and Mary Board of Trustees and serves on its Audit Committee and is the Chair of its Investments Committee.
Gary Cohn is President and Chief Operating Officer of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. He serves as a member of the Goldman Sachs Management Committee and Board of Directors. He is also the Chairman of the Firmwide Client and Business Standards Committee. Over the course of his 24-year career at Goldman Sachs, he has held a variety of leadership positions in the firm’s Securities Division both in New York and in London. Prior to his current role, he served as the Co-Chief Operating Officer of Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) after having been responsible for Commodities and a number of other FICC business from 1996 through 2002, and was the Co-Head of the Global Securities Businesses from December 2003 to June 2006. Mr. Cohn joined Goldman Sachs in 1990 and became a Partner in 1994. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he was a Director of the London Metals Exchange and a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the New York Mercantile Exchange and the Commodity Exchange. Mr. Cohn is involved in a variety of non-profit activities primarily focused on education and healthcare. He serves as trustee of the NYU Langone Medical Center, the Harlem Children’s Zone in New York City and American University in Washington, DC. He also serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City.
Mark Schwartz has been a Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs and Chairman of Goldman Sachs Asia Pacific since rejoining the firm in June 2012. Mr. Schwartz is a member of the Management Committee. He initially joined the firm in 1979 in the Investment Banking Division. He spent 17 years in various positions in New York and from 1997 to 2001 he was President of Goldman Sachs Japan, and from 1999 to 2001 he was Chairman of Goldman Sachs Asia. Prior to rejoining the firm, Mr. Schwartz was the Chairman of MissionPoint Capital Partners, an investment firm he co-founded which invested in clean energy technology. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Soros Fund Management. Mr. Schwartz serves as a director on the boards of SoftBank Corp. and the US-China Business Council, and as a member of the Advisory Council of the Bai Xian Asia Institute. He is a trustee of New York-Presbyterian Hospital and a member of its Executive Committee. Mr. Schwartz is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. He serves as trustee at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and on the Board of Directors of the Ragon Institute of MGH, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. He is on the Boards of Dean’s Advisors at Harvard College, Harvard Business School, the Harvard Kennedy School and the Harvard School of Public Health.
