Mike Hooks has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry and is a graduate of Rice University. He joined IMT Capital in 2007 and oversees our nationwide acquisitions, dispositions, and capital markets activity.
David Tedesco has over 25 years of real estate development experience and holds a California and Arizona Real Estate Broker’s License. He joined IMT Residential in 1999 and oversees development activities across the nation—including site evaluation, acquisition, entitlement, design, and construction.
Michael Browne is a co-founder of the General Partner and a member of the Investment Committee at IMT Capital. A graduate of Yale University, Michael has spent nearly two decades in investment management, hedge funds, and private equity. He oversees our investment policies and procedures, financial reporting, performance analytics and tax matters for the partnerships. Prior to forming the IMT investment company, Michael was the founder and chief investment officer of Browne Partners, LLC, his family investment company. In 1997, he founded Ocean Avenue Investors fund group—a $400 million dollar private investment company—where he also served as managing partner and co-chief investment officer. Michael is active in environmental and educational philanthropies—serving as a member of Environmental Defense Fund’s National Council, a former trustee of The Idaho Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, a trustee of the Urban School in San Francisco, California, and the former president of the Board of Trustees of the Pioneer Montessori School in Ketchum, Idaho.
Bryan Scher is a co-founder of the General Partner and a member of the Investment Committee at IMT Capital. A University of California at Santa Barbara graduate and California-licensed real estate broker, Bryan is responsible for all property management activities for the fund investments. Bryan co-founded IMT Residential in 1992, and serves as its executive vice president and chief operating officer. Bryan is the primary architect of IMT Residential’s value-add team culture and brings vision and cohesion to our operational strategies for success. His people-oriented leadership style begins with a focus on recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining the best people in the business. He promotes an environment of collaboration and innovation in such areas as leading edge technology; sales and marketing; revenue management; resident service programs; and property performance, reporting, and analytics. Under Bryan’s stewardship, IMT Residential has grown from one employee and 43 apartment units under management to a nationally recognized leader with a reputation for excellence in the multifamily marketplace.
Cory Thabit is a graduate of Harvard College and has over 20 years of experience acquiring, financing, and selling multifamily assets throughout the United States. He is a co-founder of the General Partner and a member of the Investment Committee at IMT Capital. Cory oversees all acquisitions, dispositions, and financing for fund investments. Cory joined IMT Residential in 1996, serving as its executive vice president and chief investment officer responsible for sourcing, underwriting, closing acquisitions, and overseeing dispositions. IMT Residential’s multifamily portfolio has grown immensely under his leadership and disciplined investing.
John Tesoriero is a co-founder of the General Partner and a member of the Investment Committee at IMT Capital. John uses his background as a successful developer of multifamily communities in Southern California to oversee all construction and renovation activities for the fund investments. John founded IMT Residential’s predecessor, J.M. Tesoriero & Co. in 1987, and co-founded IMT Residential in 1992, where he served as its president and chief executive officer. John has grown IMT Residential from a small local property management company into a nationally recognized and vertically integrated apartment investor. His vision has been instrumental in IMT’s growth and has shaped the firm’s innovative property management strategies.
