Julia Boyd Corso

Ms. Boyd Corso is Co-President of IEC and its property management company, IEC Property Services Corporation. She leads asset management and repositioning of all portfolio investments. As a member of the Executive Investment Committee, Ms. Boyd Corso is involved in property acquisition, financing, and capital formation. During her tenure at IEC, her roles have included: Property Supervisor, Finance Manager and Vice President.  Prior to joining IEC, Ms. Boyd Corso worked in management consulting for Accenture. She graduated summa cum laude in Economics from Emory University and holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Ms. Boyd Corso is a member of the Urban Land Institute and Stanford Professionals in Real Estate.

Marshall Boyd

Mr. Boyd is Co-President of IEC. He leads investments and capital formation. As a member of the Executive Investment Committee, Mr. Boyd is involved in property acquisition, financing, asset management and repositioning. During his tenure at IEC, Mr. Boyd has held the roles of Institutional Investment Manager, Vice President and President. Prior to joining IEC, Mr. Boyd worked on the investment team at TA Associates, a private equity fund with $16 billion under management. Prior to this he worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston. Marshall holds a degree in Economics with a minor in Spanish from Middlebury College. Mr. Boyd is a member of the ULI’s Multifamily Silver Council, The Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), on the Board of Concert Golf Partners as well as an active member of the Guardsmen, a philanthropic organization in San Francisco.

Deborah Boyd

Ms. Boyd co-founded Interstate Equities in the early 1980s along with James Boyd. Formerly the company’s CEO, she also served as CFO since 1990. Ms. Boyd is active in the local community. She was the founder of the Stanford Hills chapter of National Charity League in 1981. She has been a member of the Junior League since 1984. Ms. Boyd holds a Bachelor’s Degree from UCSB and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Cal-State University

John Williams

John is serving as an advisory board member to IEC. He is currently President and Chief Investment Officer at Avanath Capital Management which invests in Low Income Tax Credit Housing (“LIHTC”). He is responsible for capital formation, investor relations and fund management. Previous to joining Avanath in 2012, Mr. Williams was Managing Partner, Capital Markets of Carmel Partners, Inc. (“Carmel Partners”), a real estate development and investment firm based in San Francisco, California. At Carmel Partners, Mr. Williams was responsible for capital formation, fund management, investor relations, joint ventures, credit facilities and financing of all Carmel Partners investments. Mr. Williams was also a member of Carmel Partners’ Senior Investment Committee. Under Mr. Williams’ direction, Carmel Partners raised over $4.0 billion of debt and closed four discretionary real estate investment funds with total equity of $2.2 billion. Capital for these funds was provided by some of the nation’s most prestigious university endowments, foundations and high net worth individuals. Prior to joining Carmel Partners in 2000, Mr. Williams was a Partner and Director at Acacia Capital Corporation (“Acacia”). In this capacity, Mr. Williams was responsible for capital formation and the identification, acquisition and financing of multi-family and commercial properties. Acacia managed investment capital totaling $500 million. These funds were raised primarily from university endowments and high net worth individuals. A native of Philadelphia, Mr. Williams received his BS degree in finance from Duquesne University in 1980 and attended the Executive Education Program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Mr. Williams is a Governor of the Urban Land Institute (“ULI”), Chairman of the ULI Silver Multi-Family Council, a member of the Executive Committee of the National Multi Housing Council (“NMHC”), and is a Fellow of the Aspen Institute. He is a frequent speaker at national real estate conferences sponsored by the ULI, Harvard Business School, University of California-Berkeley, Stanford Business School, UCLA Real Estate Forum, USC Lusk Graduate School of Real Estate, Duquesne University, the California Bar Association, Pension Real Estate Association (“PREA”), California Association for Economic Development, the California Mortgage Bankers Association and the Lambda Alpha Honorary Real Estate Society.
