Kurt Ursich

Juniper Capital President, Kurt Ursich, brings extensive experience and expertise to Juniper Capital Corp. As an account executive at a local private lender for 13 years and a minority shareholder for three, Kurt was an integral part of his team, funding more than $600,000,000 in loans. Prior to his time at Juniper Capital Corp, Kurt spent two years as a fully-licensed financial advisor at Morgan Stanley and three years as a report analyst at Deloitte and Touche, LLP. Kurt graduated from Carroll College in Helena, MT with a B.A. in Public Relations. During college, he played football and achieved Academic All-Conference Scholar Athlete status. Kurt and his wife Shaliena have been married for 17 years. They have two children, Sophie and James. When he is not working, you can find Kurt fly fishing, coaching his son’s youth football team, skiing, golfing, playing with his children or riding his horse. Kurt is a member of The National Cutting Horse Association and The Washington Cutting Horse Association. As a committed member to his community, Kurt serves as an active Rotarian, a member of Sammamish Presbyterian, and a Sunday school teacher. Kurt is also as a board member for Skyline Youth Football Association and a Corporate Advisory Board Member for the Issaquah School Foundation.

Jeromy Salvesen

Juniper Capital Vice President Jeromy J. Salvesen attended Western Washington University, where he played football. He graduated in 2003 with a degree in Political Science. Jeromy has received numerous awards and honors for his business achievements at Cintas Corporation and Grainger, Inc. In 2006, while establishing his financial career, Jeromy owned and managed a small business for nearly six years. His company included eight staffed employees, providing service to thousands of clients. Jeromy joined Olympic Coast Investment as an account executive in January 2011. At OCI, he originated commercial loans and investments for an extensive portfolio of clients. Jeromy’s favorite leisure activities include golf, running, and riding his motorcycle. He is an avid college football fan, and Tyee Club Member.

Craig Cooley

Prior to joining Juniper Capital, Vice President Craig Cooley spent more than a decade as a residential mortgage originator. During that period, he funded more than $275,000,000 for more than 800 home loans. Prior to his career in mortgage banking, Craig spent fourteen years as a senior financial analyst for AT&T Wireless and Boeing. Craig graduated from Washington State University with degrees in both Finance and Accounting. He then achieved a Master of Finance degree from Seattle University. Craig has renovated and sold nine investment properties during the past four years. In his free time, he enjoys running, mountain biking, home-brewing, and traveling with his family. He lives on the Sammamish Plateau with his wife and two children.

Matthew Akers

Juniper Capital General Counsel Matthew Akers attended Washington State University, where he graduated magna cum lade with a degree in business administration. He then attended Michigan State University College of Law, where he earned his juris doctorate, graduating summa cum lade. Since 2015, Matthew has been an active member of the Washington State Bar Association. Matthew advises Juniper in the areas of real estate, contract, and securities law and facilitates the closing of all commercial loan transactions. Prior to joining Juniper Capital, Matthew worked in the fields of professional athlete representation and tax law. He lives in Kirkland, and in his free time enjoys weightlifting, hiking, and watching Cougar games.
