Juniper Investment Group, Ltd. was founded by Jay Rippeto in 2000 to purchase class b and c multi-family properties throughout the sunbelt area of the country. Juniper has since acquired approximately 16,200 units in twelve states with $600 million in total cost. The objective of juniper investment group is to provide investors with superior risk-adjusted returns through current cash flow and capital appreciation. Mr. Rippeto believes that to achieve above market returns in the current real estate investment climate, investors must rely on their investment manager's ability to outperform the market. Jay Rippeto, Jr.

Jay Rippeto is the President of Juniper Investment Group, Ltd. Since starting Juniper in April 2000. Mr. Rippeto’s responsibilities include obtaining debt and equity financing, underwriting and asset management. Previously, Mr. Rippeto was a Vice President in the real estate asset management and underwriting group for Fortress Investment Group, a New York based real estate investment firm with approximately $1 billion in assets under management at the time. Fortress was started by the former principals of the Global Principal Finance Group of Union Bank of Switzerland (“UBS”). Mr. Rippeto joined UBS in 1997 and then Fortress in 1998. While with UBS and Fortress, Mr. Rippeto supervised numerous outside professionals in the negotiating, acquiring, disposing, and foreclosing of assets. The commercial assets ranged from direct property investments to performing and distressed mortgages, real estate owned through foreclosure, and commercial mortgage-backed securities. Prior to joining UBS and subsequently Fortress, Mr. Rippeto was a Vice President at Cheslock, Bakker & Associates, a Stamford, Connecticut based real estate merchant bank specializing in both commercial mortgage-backed securities and directed equity investments. Mr. Rippeto has also worked for the Chase Manhattan Bank as an Associate in their Commercial Real Estate Department, specializing in distressed loan workouts, and for JMB Properties Company in its office building property management division. Mr. Rippeto earned a BA from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Bill Choise

Bill Choice is the President of First Choice Management Group. Mr. Choice joined First Choice in January of 1996 and participated in all aspects of operations from accounting and payroll to property management and construction prior to his assignment as a Property Supervisor. Mr. Choice served as a Property Supervisor and Vice President of Operations until his promotion to President in 2011. Mr. Choice is located in the Houston office and supervises all management company operations. He is involved in all aspects from due diligence and property takeover to renovation and disposition. He holds a Certified Property Manager designation and a Texas real estate sales license. Mr. Choice joined Arthur Young’s consulting practice in 1985, where he specialized in building computer systems for the oil and gas industry. He worked in systems consulting for Arthur Young, Ernst & Young, and BSG Consulting, for over 10 years. During his consulting career he managed multimillion dollar projects for clients including Exxon, Enron, Texaco, and Gas Company of New Mexico. Mr. Choice led multiple consulting projects concurrently while developing new business and mentoring new employees. His experience working in many client environments helped him transition from systems consulting to property management. Mr. Choice attended Texas State University.

Jeff Bishop is the Senior Vice President of Juniper Investment Group, Ltd. Since joining Juniper in 2005, Mr. Bishop is responsible for identifying and underwriting new investment opportunities, asset management and executing the Juniper business plan on newly acquired assets. Mr. Bishop brings over 20 years of multi-family experience to Juniper, including portfolio/asset management responsibility for over 65,000 units throughout the United States, $500 million in apartment acquisitions, over $300 million in property dispositions, and the underwriting and placement of over $750 million in multi-family debt. Mr. Bishop earned a BBA from Baylor University.

Diana Vickery is the Chief Financial Officer of Juniper Investment Group, Ltd., joining the company in October 2006. Ms. Vickery’s responsibilities include corporate and investment partnership treasury, tax, accounting and financial reporting. Ms. Vickery brings to Juniper over 20 years of public accounting and consulting experience on federal and state tax matters. Prior senior management positions held include UHY Advisors (formerly Mann Frankfort Stein & Lipp Advisors) and Arthur Andersen LLP. Since leaving public accounting and prior to joining Juniper, Ms. Vickery was a consultant for Shell Oil and El Paso Corporation, both international oil and gas companies. Ms. Vickery earned a BS from Bowling Green State University.

Jeremy Cloud is the Vice President of Juniper Investment Group, Ltd. He was employed with Juniper from 2002 – 2004 and rejoined Juniper in November 2006 after earning his MBA from the University of Texas. Mr. Cloud is responsible for asset management, underwriting and investor and partner reporting. Before entering the real estate industry, Mr. Cloud was an associate in UBS Warburg’s healthcare services and real estate investment trust equity research group in New York City. Mr. Cloud earned a BA in Economics from Duke University and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.
