Chief Executive Officer

James Martell

Jim serves as CEO where he is responsible for the overall strategic direction, planning and performance across North America. Jim has 43 years of experience in all aspects of commercial real estate including leasing, management, acquisition, development, construction, financing, and disposition. Over the course of his career, Jim has been involved in office, retail, multi-family and industrial development throughout North America. Since 1995 he has completed several billion-dollar development projects. Jim began his real estate career as a commercial real estate lender and then worked for a regional general contractor for nine years. Moving to Chicago in 1986, Jim joined the Shearson Lehman Brother’s Balcor Company as a portfolio manager ($9.0 billion in NAV). Following Balcor, he worked for the Prime Group until he formed Ridge in 1995. In 2003, Ridge formed several REITs with Prudential Real Estate Company. Selling the assets of the Pru Ridge REITs in 2014, Ridge formed Ridge Development Company, LLC (Ridge) with Transwestern. In 2017, Ridge wrapped up its joint venture with Transwestern and formed Logistics Property Company, LLC (LPC) with Macquarie Capital Real Estate Investments (MREI).

Chief Financial Officer

Mark Skinner

As Chief Financial Officer, Mark is responsible for finance, tax, treasury and investor relations’ functions at Logistics Property Company, LLC (LPC). He brings over 25 years of experience in accounting, corporate functions, and strategic planning. During this time, Mark has overseen the acquisition, sale and structuring of $5 billion of real estate projects. Prior to joining Logistics, Mark was the Executive General Manager Finance for Lendlease Development. Previously to this, Mark worked at Arthur Andersen in the Sydney, London and San Jose offices.

Executive Vice President

William Peltin

Bill has more than 30 years of transactional law experience, with a concentration in commercial real estate development. Bill began his legal career in 1987 as an associate in the real estate group at Rudnick & Wolfe (now DLA Piper) and then moved to the real estate group at Gardner, Carton & Douglas (now Drinker Biddle) in 1990, where he was elected partner in 1996. He left Gardner, Carton in 1999 to join Ridge Realty Group, LLC (a client and predecessor to Ridge Property Trust and Ridge Development Company) as general counsel and a principal. From 2001 until 2005, he was a partner with the Chicago law firm of Fox, Hefter, Swibel, Levin & Carroll. From 2005 until the formation of Ridge Development Company in 2014, Bill served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Ridge Property Trust. From 2014 until the formation of Logistics Property Company in 2018, Bill served as outside general counsel to both Ridge Property Trust and Ridge Development Company. During his legal career, Bill has been active in various volunteer and civic endeavors, including serving on the Long Grove Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals and the Board of Back 2 School Illinois.

Executive Vice President

Dennis Rice

As Executive Vice President, Dennis Rice’s responsibilities include initial due diligence, land acquisition, entitlements, design development, construction and stabilization of the development. Based in Southern California, Dennis has worked for Logistics Property Company (and its predecessor companies) for 20 years. His focus in the western US is on larger distribution/industrial/warehouse properties and redevelopment of infill property. Prior to working at Logistics Property Company, Dennis worked for Cushman & Wakefield and Heitman. During his career, he has been responsible for all segments of the development process and has completed developments in excess of 10 million sf with a value in excess of $1.3 billion.
