Shawn Lyden

Offering two decades of experience in private residential lending, Shawn is a mastermind when it comes to solving even the most complex lending challenges. Shawn has garnered much of his experience as a loan officer, but is also a passionate entrepreneur. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Maine, Shawn flourished in the residential loan business and established two successful companies: Approved Home Mortgage and Maine Capital Mortgage. He was also a major investor, loan committee member, and partner in Pioneer Capital, which invested $45 million of private capital in 2003. In addition to originating loans, Shawn set up procedures that were both sales and underwriting friendly. Having worked in underwriting his entire career, Shawn brings an understanding of commercial guidelines used to analyze exit strategies proposed in loan submissions.When it comes to financing, Shawn actively thinks outside the box to provide his clients with the best possible loan solutions. His “never-give-up” mentality ensures that his work is finished quickly and effectively. Dan launched his career as a proactive sales executive, and is now a private capital real estate lender. His career flourished in the retail business, where he launched and managed technology and entertainment-related products. During this time, he found success in developing innovative marketing strategies, utilizing simple techniques and positioning sales products to national retail chains. Dan joined the Maine Capital Group (formerly Coastal Realty Capital) team in May 2013, where he has progressed from vice president and chief financial officer to his current role as chief operating officer. His innovative market training has led him to success in the loan industry, as he is committed to designing the best solutions for his clients. Dan earned his bachelor degree from the University of Maine in 1990.

Charles Nadeau

Charles joined Maine Capital Group in 2016 as the chief financial officer, and was named President and CEO in March of 2017. He puts his analytical thinking, project management, and team leadership skills to work to fulfill his duties of analysis, development, and execution of strategically advantaged capital stock opportunities. He offers more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance and operations leadership across a range of industries including insurance, direct to consumer marketing, technology development, and retail consumer goods development and distribution. Prior to joining Maine Capital Group, Charles was CFO and COO of a $30-million-dollar multi-channel consumer goods development and distribution company, managing relationships with national brands including Walmart, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and CVS. He also worked for UNUM Group, serving as company liaison to insurance group rating agencies, managing the short-term liquidity position, and helping lead debt re-financings and capital structure initiatives. Charles earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine and master’s degree in finance from Bentley University in Massachusetts.

Bruce Elmore

With 30 years experience in the services, manufacturing, and transportation industries, Bruce brings the leadership and management skills of a senior corporate executive and professional to clients. Before joining Maine Capital Group, Bruce spent more than 15 years as the CFO of three public companies in Canada with annualized revenues over $300 million. Currently, he is also an owner/partner in a partnership that owns and operates retirement homes within Canada. His executive responsibilities have included finance, human resources, statutory reporting, investor relations, chair of a pension investment committee, legal and contractual affairs, internal audit and security, chief negotiator on acquisitions, and IT activities. He is a chartered accountant in Canada (similar to a CPA in the United States) and a business graduate of a major Canadian University.
