Rick Schroeder, President of Many Mansions, has led the organization since July 2002. Prior to that time he was on the Board of Directors for Many Mansions for many years, where he held numerous offices including President, Vice-President, and Secretary of the Board of Directors. Rick is an attorney licensed to practice law in the state of California and Minnesota. Prior to becoming Executive Director, he had a private law practice in the Conejo Valley, specializing in real estate, litigation, and bankruptcy. He received his law degree from UCLA School of Law in 1986 and his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin in 1983, where he majored in real estate and finance.

Alexander Russell is the Vice President of Housing at Many Mansions where he is responsible for all affordable housing development, major rehabilitation, and asset management. He brings years of research, project management, and housing development experience to this position. He was most recently Director, senior project manager and project manager before that in the Housing Division at Many Mansions where he was instrumental in the successful acquisition and rehabilitation of the La Rahada Apartments in Simi Valley (8 units for homeless and mentally disabled families) and the acquisition and entitlement of the Hillcrest Project in Thousand Oaks (a 60-unit new construction project for low-income and homeless families on 5 parcels totaling 3 acres). Alex has a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, an M.B.A. from California Lutheran University, and completed the Ross Program in Real Estate at the University of Southern California. He also has his California Real Estate Salesperson License.

Cailan Lu, Vice-President of Administrative/Finance, has been working with Many Mansions since December 1999. She started as a general ledger accountant and a year after she earned a promotion to Director of Finance. Cailan led the Finance department to meet various financial requirements and regulations for nine properties. In July 2006, she earned another promotion to Vice-President of Administrative/Finance. Before joining Many Mansions, Cailan was an accountant for Kaali Distributing in Canoga Park, California. She worked as a sales specialist with MCI Telecommunications in Denver, Colorado before moving to Thousand Oaks in March 1997. Prior to moving to the United States in 1994, she owned her own business in Beijing, China. Cailan has a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Beijing, China, and an MBA from California Lutheran University. She and her husband and their three children, Grace, Samuel, and Daniel reside in Dos Vientos Ranch.

Eric Rhodes Jr. is Vice President of Property Management for Many Mansions and currently oversees the Property Management Team responsible for the day-to-day management of Many Mansions’ housing communities including insuring compliance with regulatory programs such as Low-Income Tax Credit, HUD, Section 8, HCD/HOME, MHP, MHSA and SHP. Eric, a father of one and ardent supporter of the “University of Louisville Fighting Cardinals,” relocated to California to continue his passion of providing quality, well-managed, respect-based affordable housing to families of low income in a region with severe need. He brought six years of affordable housing knowledge through his experience in several positions with New Directions Housing Corporation [a non-profit affordable housing provider] where he served the Louisville community from 1995 to 2001.”
