Mr. McGavic has over 28 years of institutional and private real estate experience. Prior to founding the Firm, Mr. McGavic was a Managing Director with RREEF where he ran five separate co-mingled funds and two separate accounts with total AUM in excess of $3.5 billion. Mr. McGavic was a member of the RREEF Value-Add / Venture Capital Investment Committee and the RREEF Structured Debt / Mezzanine Fund Investment Committee. Mr. McGavic also led major initiatives involving RREEF’s Structured Debt Group and Client Relations. Prior to joining RREEF in 2000, Mr. McGavic was with JE Roberts Companies and LaSalle Partners (twice each) in acquisitions, portfolio management, M&A, loan workouts and asset management. Over his career Mr. McGavic has executed more than $4.5 billion of real estate transactions. Mr. McGavic is a member of PREA, participating in the Valuations and Reporting Affinity Group, ICSC and serves on Oregon State University School of Business Advisory Board. Mr. McGavic is a former Officer of Marines. He holds an M.S. from the University of Southern California, a B.S. in Business and a B.S. in Naval Engineering from Oregon State University.
Mr. Andrews has over 16 years of commercial real estate experience, and leads Acquisitions, Dispositions and Major Leasing for Newport. Prior to joining Newport Capital Partners, Mr. Andrews was Senior Vice President with Sperry Van Ness/SVN Chicago where he led the Retail sales and leasing team. Prior to joining SVN, Mr. Andrews was with The Staubach Company, a market leading global real estate advisory firm, focused on retail acquisitions, dispositions and tenant representation. Over his career, Mr. Andrews has executed roughly 400 transactions exceeding $800 million, in 25 states. Mr. Andrews is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois. He holds a B.A. from Trinity College, Hartford, CT.
Mr. Smith has over five years of real estate finance and asset management experience. Prior to joining Newport Capital Partners, Mr. Smith worked in Asset Management for Starwood Retail Partners on a portfolio valued at over $600 million. His primary responsibilities included strategic planning, investor reporting, property valuation and forecasting, and the support of leasing, transaction and capital markets activities. Mr. Smith began his career at General Growth Properties, where he worked in the Investments, Joint Venture Partnerships and Corporate Finance departments. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance, with a certificate in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Iowa.
Mr. Schraier has over 4 years of property management experience in the Chicagoland area. Prior to joining Newport Capital Partners, Mr. Schraier managed a portfolio of luxury condominiums with Advantage Management. He began his career at M. Fishman & Co. as an Assistant Property Manager. He holds a B.A. from the University of Missouri.
