Mr. Welsh is a Founder and Partner of Normandy. Prior to forming Normandy in 2002, Mr. Welsh worked at Morgan Stanley, where he was primarily responsible for overseeing the debt financing activities for Morgan Stanley's domestic real estate investing business. Prior to that, Mr. Welsh worked at Gale & Wentworth, a full service real estate management and development firm, where he directed acquisitions. Mr. Welsh has broad expertise in all facets of real estate, with particular expertise in capital markets, structured finance, distressed debt, acquisitions and development. Mr. Welsh is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Pennsylvania State University and a member of its Real Estate Advisory Board, and earned a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance at the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he is a member of the Advisory Board and was an adjunct professor. He devotes time to a number of professional and civic activities, including serving on the boards of a number of local non-profit organizations.
Mr. Wentworth is a Founder and Partner of Normandy. Prior to forming Normandy, he was president, chief operating officer and board member of YankeeNets LLC, the holding company of the New York Yankees, New Jersey Nets, and New Jersey Devils, where he also helped form the organization's media company - The Yankee Entertainment Sports (YES) Network. His more than 30 years of real estate experience includes co-founding Gale & Wentworth, a nationally recognized investment and development firm that assembled a multi-billion dollar property portfolio. Mr. Wentworth is a member of NJBIZ Magazine’s 2011 Hall of Fame which recognized his long-term commitment to business success in NJ. Also active in community and philanthropic endeavors, he has been honored by several hospitals and charitable organizations. Mr. Wentworth is a board member of the Morristown Memorial Hospital Foundation and a member of Business Executives for National Security. He served on the Board of the U.S. Olympic Rowing Team, and he received the Jack Kelly Citizenship Award from the U.S. Rowing Association. He also served on the Boards of Trustees of his alma maters, Lehigh University and Morristown Beard School, where he was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame.
Mr. Gronning is a Partner of Normandy and co-founder of the Normandy Real Estate Funds. Prior to Normandy, he held the position of Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Morgan Stanley’s real estate investing division. During his 12 years at Morgan Stanley, he was responsible for a $13 billion asset portfolio that served more than 100 clients. He was also instrumental in raising over $2.6 billion in capital for the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds (MSREF) and integrating the Lend Lease real estate investment business into the company. Mr. Gronning, a Certified Public Accountant, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Ms. Gately is a Partner of Normandy and serves as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Normandy, she worked for 9 years at The Gale Company (formerly Gale & Wentworth), a nationally recognized real estate firm, as an integral member of the acquisitions team and as a Portfolio Accounting Manager. Her vast experience includes all aspects of acquisition, debt financings, valuation, and financial reporting of properties, opportunity funds, and limited partnerships. Ms. Gately, a Certified Public Accountant, started her career with KPMG after graduating from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
