Edward F. Schiff, Esq., the Chairman of the Board, also serves as an officer of the Adviser. Mr. Schiff is a former Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office of an international law firm, and he specializes in the corporate, finance and bankruptcy practices. He devises company structure, and negotiates and manages complex corporate, finance and real estate transactions. Mr. Schiff also consults on techniques for raising and investing capital, and aids in the development of creative and effective financing techniques for project development opportunities. In addition to being a co-founder of Oaktree Development, LLC, Ed sits on the Board of Advisors of Anglicotech, LLC, and on the Board of Directors of Berkley Springs Instruments, LLC. He is a frequent speaker on both corporate and real estate topics. Ed received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and his law degree from the School of Law at Washington and Lee University, Magna Cum Laude, Order of the Coif, and served as Editor-in-Chief of its Law Review.

Petch Gibbons, a director and our CEO, also serves as an officer of the Adviser. Mr. Gibbons has over 25 years of real estate experience. He has owned or directed full-service commercial companies of up to 14 offices and $100 million in revenues. Applying a unique and comprehensive combination of commercial real estate leadership and management ability, he is fluent at establishing the mission, developing strategy, building a team, organizing for effectiveness and efficiency, and controlling the bottom line. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Gibbons was President and Managing Partner of Summit Commercial Real Estate, where he oversaw all aspects of the operation.

Bert Rindner, Managing Director and CEO of OMR Property Management, is responsible for property management for OMREIT and serves on both its Investment Committee and Board of Directors. Bert is the Chief Executive Officer of OMR Property management, a joint venture with BMR Management, a property management company in Baltimore, MD with significant multi-family experience. Bert’s background includes more than 20 years in property management and the rehabilitation of multi-family real estate. He is a member of the Maryland Multi-Housing Association and has extensive experience and relationships with organizations that specialize in providing housing for underserved groups, including Maryland’s VA housing system program and Health Care for the Homeless.

Peter, a director and officer of the Adviser, oversees the operations of OMREIT and serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and Board of Directors. Peter has been the Managing Partner of Oaktree Development (OTD) since co-founding the company in 2013. Over the past three years Peter has led investment strategy and operations, deploying equity into more than $100M worth of real estate in the Washington metropolitan area. Prior to co-founding OTD, Peter served on the investment teams of the DC investment and development firms Neighborhood Development Capital Management and Neighborhood Development Company. Peter serves on the entrepreneur board of Venture for America and was formerly an advisor to Progress Through Business and the Center on Business and Poverty.
