Peter Plamondon, Jr., is Co-President of The Plamondon Companies, headquartered in Frederick, MD. The Plamondon Companies own and manage select service Marriott hotels in Frederick and Hagerstown, MD, as well as the trademark and franchise system for Roy Rogers Restaurants. He began working for the Marriott Corporation in the Hotel Division's Sales and Marketing Department in 1981. In 1986, he left the hospitality industry for commercial real estate and was a Vice President with Barrueta & Associates in Washington, DC until 1993. Mr. Plamondon joined his father's business, Plamondon Enterprises, Inc. (a franchisee of Roy Rogers Family Restaurants) in 1993 as Vice President of Real Estate and Construction. He expanded the company into the hotel business by opening a Fairfield Inn by Marriott in the fall of 1996. The Courtyard by Marriott opened in March 1999 and a Residence Inn by Marriott followed in October 2002 both in Frederick. The company expanded into Hagerstown, MD with the opening of a SpringHill Suites by Marriott in December 2006. In 2004, he and his brother, Jim Plamondon, formed Plamondon Hospitality Partners to manage the company's hotels, as well as hotels for third parties. In April 1998, Mr. Plamondon and his brother purchased the stock for Plamondon Enterprises from their parents and now share the Office of President for the company. As a means of furthering expansion for the company, the Roy Rogers trademark and franchise system were purchased by the brothers in July 2002. Outside affiliations include sitting on the Board of Directors for the Adventist HealthCare System, the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, and BlueRidge Bank. He is a member of the Advisory Council for the Hospitality Program at Frederick Community College, as well as a past board member for the Chamber of Commerce of Frederick County, MD and the United Way of Frederick County. A graduate of Cornell University, Mr. Plamondon received his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration in 1981.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Plamondon received his B. A. degree in 1985; he graduated with honors from the George Washington University’s National Law Center in 1988. Mr. Plamondon was an associate at the law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski from 1988 to 1990. He then served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia from 1990 to 1995. He joined Plamondon Enterprises in 1995 and later assumed the role of General Counsel and Director of Administration. In April 1998, Mr. Plamondon and his brother, Pete, Jr., purchased the company from their parents and are now Co-Presidents for the company, which operates eighteen (18) Roy Rogers Restaurants and owns the Roy Rogers trademark and franchise system. Jim and his brother also own Plamondon Hospitality Partners and operate five Marriott brand hotels; a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, a Courtyard by Marriott, and a Residence Inn by Marriott in Frederick and a SpringHill Suites by Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott in Hagerstown. Mr. Plamondon is a member of the Maryland Bar Association; a member of the Board of Directors (1997-present), and past President (1999-2000), for Families Plus! in Frederick, Maryland; a member of the Board of Directors (2002-present) and President (2006-present) for the Restaurant Association of Maryland; a past member of the Maryland Hospitality Education Foundation (1999-2001); and a member of the Board of Directors of Frederick BrickWorks. He was Co-Chair of the Campaign Executive Committee for St. John’s Regional Catholic Elementary School (2000-2005) and is currently a board member and Co-Chair of the Campaign Leadership Committee for St. John’s Catholic Prep. In 2005 he was awarded the McElroy Award by Friends of Catholic Education and in 2007 Families Plus! Honored him with the Reinberger Award.
Ed Prensky has nearly 20 years in accounting and financial management experience. He began his finance career with Arthur Andersen in Washington, D.C. By the time he was appointed manager, Mr. Prensky had supervised audit engagements of multinational corporations including Marriott International, government entities, not-for-profit organizations, partnerships, and pension plans. Mr. Prensky spent the next eleven years working in Central and Eastern Europe managing the financial and administrative operations of private equity funds focusing on emerging market investment, and as Financial Controller of an international pharmaceutical and an FMCG company. Mr. Prensky relocated from Warsaw, Poland, and has been with The Plamondon Companies since 2007. He is originally from Frederick, MD and is a twice graduate of the University of Maryland with a BA in Law Enforcement and a BS in Accounting.
Mr. Henningsen is a veteran hotel professional with over 25 years of continuous experience. Mr. Henningsen began his hospitality management career with Holiday Inn Corporation in 1982. He joined the Marriott Corporation in 1984 at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, New York. Additional full-service hotel tenure includes executive management positions at the Gaithersburg Marriott in Gaithersburg, Maryland, the opening team for the Bethesda Suites Marriott in Maryland, and opening team at the Fairview Park Marriott in Falls Church, Virginia. In 1989, Mr. Henningsen joined the Courtyard by Marriott hotel division as a General Manager, working from 1989 until 1999 at the Courtyard Rye in Rye, New York and Rockville Courtyard in Rockville, Maryland. In 1997, he became Lead General Manager overseeing Quality Assurance Inspections for nine select service hotels (Courtyard and Fairfield Inn by Marriott) in the Mid Atlantic region. In 1999, Mr. Henningsen joined the Plamondon Companies in Frederick, Maryland, as Director of Hotel Operations and General Manager of the Frederick Courtyard by Marriott. In 2002, he opened the Frederick Residence Inn by Marriott. In 2006, Mr. Henningsen moved to the corporate office of Plamondon Hospitality with the opening of the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Hagerstown, MD. Mr. Henningsen was the Franchise General Manager of the Year in 2000, Mid-Atlantic Region, for the Courtyard by Marriott. He has served on the Board of Directors for Frederick County Tourism (2000-present) and was President of the Tourism Council (2005-2007). In 2003, was recognized by the Tourism Council of Frederick, Maryland as Ambassador of the Year. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Weinberg Center for the Performing Arts (2001-2004) and is currently on the Boards of the Maryland Hotel and Lodging Association (2006- present) and the American Red Cross (2008- present).
