Within the multifamily space, ROCO owns a diverse portfolio of assets; including garden-style, low-rise, and mid-rise buildings that are both traditional and student housing properties. The firm focuses on acquiring existing multi-family properties and avoids deals that require extensive construction. Due to ROCO’s reputation of being well-funded, flexible, and adhering to the highest standards of professional practice; the firm attracts many off market deals. Michael Colman is the Director of Acquisitions. Previously, Michael sourced new acquisitions at Edward Rose & Sons. Michael oversaw the acquisition of over 100 acres of new land and $75 million of development. A Bloomfield Hills, MI native, Michael earned a BA from the University of Wisconsin in 2008.
Tyler is responsible for ROCO finances. Previously, Tyler worked at Edward Rose & Sons, founded by his family in 1921, with current ownership of over 57,000 apartments units. A Bloomfield Hills, MI native, he earned a BA from the University of Chicago in 2008 and a JD from Fordham Law School in 2011.
David is responsible for asset management. Previously, David worked for BlackRock in their Proprietary Alpha Strategies Group, later transitioning to a fixed income Product Strategist. A Bloomfield Hills, MI native, David earned a BBA from the University of Michigan – Ross School of Business in 2010.
Mr. Ross is responsible for business development. In addition to his duties at ROCO, Mr. Ross, Bass-Baritone, performs at leading opera theaters and concert halls around the world. Mr. Ross earned a Masters of Music degree from the Boston Conservatory.
