Mark Silber

Mark Silber, is a successful entrepreneur who has, in recent years, directed his energies and his capital into the development of a sizeable commercial real estate portfolio with an acquisition, management, and development infrastructure. He has focused on the acquisition and management of income-producing residential properties in the New York metropolitan area, including all of the boroughs of New York City, northern New Jersey, and Rockland County (NY). Mark began his real estate career in 2010 by working with the owners of a large real estate ownership/management firm with over 5,000 apartments in New York City. He developed his acquisition and management expertise as the person in charge of all operations, including rent collections, management, lease negotiations, evictions, tenant buy-outs, and building refinancings. In 2012, Mark rolled up his real estate holdings and activities into Rhodium Capital Advisors, a full-service real estate acquisition, management and development firm. As Managing Partner at Rhodium, Mark sets the overall strategic direction of the Company and oversees all day-to-day functions including acquisitions, property and asset managementand capital markets/investor relations. Previously, Mark founded Innovative Credit Consultants (“ICC”), a credit consulting firm with offices in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. ICC grew to one of the most prominent in its field, assisting individuals who had been financially compromised by the Great Recession. ICC developed expertise in providing credit repair advice to high-net-worth individuals throughout the U.S., and assisted its clients with issues arising out of bankruptcies, foreclosures, identity theft, charge-offs, and other negative financial information on credit reports. Mark has also been a principal in the family business of acquiring, financing, or consulting with respect to life settlements. Over the past ten years, Mark has been involved in over $2.5 billion in face amounts of life settlements. Through the years at ICC and dealing with banks, other lenders, and owners of real estate and other assets, Mark has developed unusual and direct access to real estate product and real estate financing. To date, he has been involved in real estate transactions with an aggregate value of over $500 million. Mark is married with four children, and lives in Rockland County, NY. He is very active in community and philanthropic activities.

Fredrick Schulman

Fredrick Schulman has over 35 years of experience as an investment banker, business and real estate principal, and attorney, and has developed substantial expertise in corporate, commercial, and real estate finance. As Managing Partner of Rhodium Capital Advisors, Fred works closely with Mark Silber in managing the acquisitions and capital markets/investor relations functions of the firm. Fred also has considerable experience serving in senior management and board-level positions at several other finance-related firms. He began his career in 1978 as a real estate attorney at the law offices of Kahr Spitzer and Howard in Manhattan. From 1980-1985, Fred was a name partner at Bragar Spiegel Schulman & Drigg which represented real estate syndicators (packaging real estate in limited partnerships and selling LP interests through Wall Street firms like Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, Bear Stearns, Thompson McKinnon, etc.). He owned and managed an investment banking firm from 1986-1993 where he was involved with real estate and leveraged buyout transactions. In 1994, Fred joined RAS Securities Corp., a broker-dealer in New York City, as General Counsel; a short while thereafter, he was promoted to Director of Investment Banking. During his tenure at RAS, Fred participated in over seventy capital markets transactions totaling over $1 billion. From 1999 through 2006, he focused on building and running East Coast Capital Holdings, Ltd. (serving as its President), a Specialized Small Business Investment Company licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and its affiliate, NewBank (serving as its Chairman), a New York community commercial bank. NewBank was licensed in 2005 and opened its first branch (and base of operations) in 2006, and by 2012, had become the largest small business lender in the NY metropolitan area. Fred remains NewBank’s Chairman to this day. In 2012, he joined forces with Mark Silber to form Rhodium Capital Advisors. Fred holds a Bachelor of Arts from Clark University and a Juris Doctor from Boston College School of Law.

Chief Financial Officer

Eli Martin

Eli has over ten years of accounting, financial reporting and compliance experience in a variety of fields. His specialty is developing internal processes to facilitate on-going business and team efficiency and growth. Prior to joining Rhodium in 2013, he operated a consulting business focused on business compliance, accounting and data management. In that capacity, Eli consulted as a payroll and human resources director for a group of nursing homes, streamlining the payroll process while ensuring compliance with State and Federal labor regulations and OMRDD requirements. One of his main focuses was to bring together the reporting data from diverse sources and multiple facilities to merge the information into comprehensive and comparable reports for management. At Rhodium, Eli’s primary responsibilities include compliance and business filings, payroll and overseeing the financial accounting and reporting function. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Daniel Shragaei

Daniel started his real estate career at GFI Realty Services, a major commercial real estate brokerage firm in NYC, in 2010. Utilizing longstanding relationships with some of the largest real estate families and operators in the five boroughs, he developed an expertise in sourcing off-market multi-family investment opportunities and negotiating real estate transactions. During his seven-year tenure at GFI, Daniel was involved in the sale of properties, predominantly in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, with an aggregate value of over $1 billion. His significant transactions received press coverage in a variety of NYC real estate trade publications.He was the recipient of GFI Realty Services’ Rising Star award in 2012 and Broker of the Year award in 2014. As Managing Principal at Rhodium Capital Advisors, Daniel’s responsibilities include capital raising and sourcing new acquisition opportunities. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife and three daughters.
