Brad Schafer co-founded Schafer Richardson Inc. in 1995 and has over 28 years' experience in commercial and high-density residential real estate finance and development. Brad concentrates on development and syndication, debt and equity formation, property management and consulting. Brad directs the Schafer Richardson portfolio of properties consisting of 1.86 million square feet of Twin Cities commercial real estate and the residential units currently under development. He has responsibility for financial management including administration, financings, budgeting and controls, contract negotiations, and joint-venture or sale negotiations with thirty-party owners and investors. Together, Brad and his partner, Kit Richardson, are responsible for creating and analyzing new business opportunities and for maintaining investor relations. Brad and his wife, Peggy, live in Mendota Heights with their 3 children, Joe, Ellen, and Carrie.
Kit co-founded Schafer Richardson, Inc. in 1995 and has over 36 years experience in commercial and high-density residential real estate, architecture and construction. Kit is a registered Architect and focuses on the design and construction aspects of Schafer Richardson’s developments. Kit started his architectural career with famed Minneapolis Architect Ralph Rapson before branching out with a partner to form his own design and development firm. After 12 years in architecture Kit moved to the Griffin Companies as a broker specializing in investment sales. Today, Kit helps direct Schafer Richardson’s portfolio of properties consisting of 1.21 million square feet of Twin Cities commercial real estate and all SR residential and mixed-use developments. He plays a leadership role in design, architecture, site planning, and construction for the SR residential and commercial developments. Together Kit and Brad are responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining investor relations. Kit and his wife live in the historic Ramsey Hill neighborhood of St. Paul and have been in the same 1871 home which they have renovated for over 30 years. They have 3 adult sons.
Steve Norcutt has over 25 years of experience in financial management, portfolio management and mortgage origination. He has also been involved in developing a residential construction company, land development, and commercial real estate development. Steve serves on the Board of Directors of a NASDAQ member firm called New York Mortgage Trust (NYMT). With NYMT he Chairs the Governance Committee and serves on the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee. Prior to joining Schafer Richardson, Steve held Senior Management positions with several mortgage origination operations. He served as a Senior Vice President/Portfolio Manager of Structured Finance with ReliaStar (ING) for over 13 years. Steve started his career as a corporate banking officer. Steve has responsibility for managing the daily activities of Schafer Richardson and its affiliates. This includes administration, financial management, budgeting and controls, marketing, finance and human resources. Steve, together with other Schafer Richardson Principals, is responsible for developing new business and for maintaining investor relations. Steve and his wife Natalie live in Maple Grove, MN. They have three adult daughters.
