Barry Sternlicht

Barry Sternlicht is Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Starwood Capital Group, the private investment firm he formed in 1991 that is focused on global real estate, hotel management, oil and gas, energy infrastructure and securities trading. Mr. Sternlicht also serves as Chairman of Starwood Property Trust, the largest commercial mortgage REIT in the U.S. (NYSE: STWD); Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust (NYSE: SWAY), one of the largest publicly traded investors, owners and operators of single-family homes in the U.S.; TRI Pointe Homes (NYSE: TPH), one of the U.S.’s largest homebuilders; hotel operator Societé du Louvre; and crystal maker Baccarat S.A. For the past 23 years, Mr. Sternlicht has structured investments with an asset value of approximately $47 billion. Starwood Capital’s funds have invested in approximately 70,000 multifamily/condo units, 2,200 hotels, 44 million square feet of office properties, 39 million square feet of retail and 46,000 lots of land in residential subdivisions. In 2013, Mr. Sternlicht was named the Most Important Person in Commercial Real Estate Finance by The Mortgage Observer. In 2010, Mr. Sternlicht was named Executive of the Year and Investor of the Year by Commercial Property Executive. Mr. Sternlicht was also named America’s Best Lodging CEO by Institutional Investor magazine. He is a member of the Interior Design Magazine Hall of Fame. He has received the Preston Robert Tisch Distinguished Industry Leadership Award from New York University, the CEO Diversity Award from Diversity Best Practices/Business Women’s Network, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of Travel Marketing Executives, the Hospitality Heritage Award from the American Hotel and Lodging Association, and the Marketer of the Year Award from Brandweek. Jerome Silvey

Jerome Silvey is an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Starwood Capital Group. In this role, Mr. Silvey oversees all of the Firm’s investor relations, debt financing, equity fundraising, treasury operations, investor reporting, and tax planning and compliance. He is a member of the Firm’s Executive and Investment & Disposition Committees. Mr. Silvey joined Starwood Capital in 1993 after 13 years with Price Waterhouse. Mr. Silvey received a B.A. degree in mathematical economics from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, and an MBA from Rutgers Graduate School of Management. Scott Wolstein

Scott Wolstein is Chief Executive Officer of Starwood Retail Partners, the wholly owned, fully integrated operating platform that oversees Starwood Capital Group’s retail investments. Under Mr. Wolstein’s leadership, Starwood Retail Partners’ portfolio has grown to 21 assets totaling more than 18 million square feet of gross leasable area. Prior to helping establish Starwood Retail Partners in 2012, Mr. Wolstein served as Chairman and CEO of Developers Diversified Realty since the real estate investment trust’s inception in 1993. During that time, the firm became the world’s largest landlord of power centers and community centers. Mr. Wolstein holds a B.S. degree in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from University of Michigan Law School, both with honors. He has served on the boards of International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and the Real Estate Roundtable, and has also participated extensively in the Urban Land Institute, the World Economic Forum and the Milken Institute.

Carl Tash

Carl Tash joined Starwood Capital in May of 2011 as Chief Credit Officer and is responsible for the review of investment opportunities prior to presentation to the Investment Committee. Mr. Tash also serves as a mentor and assists in the training of Analysts and Associates. Previous to joining Starwood, Mr. Tash founded Cliffwood Partners LLC, a Los Angeles based real estate securities investment firm. Mr. Tash was the CEO and Chief Investment Officer from 1994 through the wind-down of the firm in 2009. At Cliffwood, Mr. Tash started the first real estate securities hedge fund in 1994. Prior to founding Cliffwood, Mr. Tash spent 12 years with JMB and its affiliates. At the time of his departure from JMB at the end of 1991, Mr. Tash was President of JMB’s investment subsidiary, JMB Institutional Realty Corporation, and had a strategic, senior role with JMB’s Retail Development subsidiary. Mr. Tash was also responsible for the acquisition and structuring of over $5 billion in corporate real estate transactions. Mr. Tash has over 30 years of experience in investing, financing and managing real estate securities funds, real estate assets and real estate companies. Mr. Tash received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from the Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Wharton Real Estate Center and has previously been an active member of PREA, NAREIT and the ICSC.

Christopher Graham

Christopher Graham is a Managing Director supervising the Firm’s investments on the East Coast. He is a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Graham is responsible for originating, structuring, underwriting and closing investments in all property types. Prior to joining Starwood in 2002, Mr. Graham was with CB Richard Ellis in Washington, D.C., where he was Director of its Financial Consulting Group for the Eastern Region of the US Prior to his role in the Financial Consulting Group, Mr. Graham was Associate Director, Eastern Region of CB Richard Ellis’ Investment Properties Group. Mr. Graham also served as a consultant to Lincoln Property Company’s Washington, D.C. office on various asset management, development and acquisition assignments. Mr. Graham received a BBA in finance from James Madison University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Madison Grose

Madison F. Grose is Co-General Counsel and a Senior Managing Director of the Firm, and is also the Vice Chairman, General Counsel and a Senior Managing Director of Starwood Energy Group Global, L.L.C., a commonly controlled entity formed to pursue the power business on which Mr. Grose is currently focusing most of his time. Mr. Grose served as a Trustee or Director of Starwood Hotels from 1994 until 2001, and as a Director of iStar Financial, Inc., from 1999 until 2003. Before joining Starwood in 1992, Mr. Grose was a Senior and Founding Partner with the law firm of Pircher, Nichols & Meeks, a Los Angeles-based firm specializing in complex real estate-related transactions. Mr. Grose holds a BA with distinction and highest departmental honors from Stanford University and a JD from UCLA School of Law, where he served as the Chief Comment Editor of the UCLA Law Review.

Managing Director, Global Capital Raising and Investor Relations

Lanhee Yung

Lanhee Yung heads the Global Capital Raising and Investor Relations Group. Prior to joining Starwood, Ms. Yung was Head of Investor Relations & Fundraising for the CIM Group in Los Angeles, California. She raised two real estate private equity funds and an infrastructure fund while at CIM, totaling over $4 billion in equity. Ms. Yung led the Investor Relations and Fundraising team and increased the firm’s investor base from two to 40 institutional investors. Before CIM, Ms. Yung was an Associate Director, Real Estate Private Equity Fundraising at UBS sourcing equity from domestic and European institutional investors. Prior to UBS she was based in Paris with GLA Hotels where she focused on business development and strategy. She started her career at Merrill Lynch as an Analyst and Associate in the firm’s Investment Bank, with assignments in New York and London. Ms. Yung graduated from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and earned her MBA from ESSEC/Cornell University. She currently serves on the Board of the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE), Cornell University Hotel Society, the Korea Finance Society Operating Committee, the Luminaries, PREA Reporting and Valuation Committee, PREA Young Leaders Steering Committee, Young AFIRE founder and the Board of Women in Real Estate.

Jeffrey Dishner

Jeffrey G. Dishner is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s acquisition efforts on a worldwide basis. He assists the team in originating, structuring, underwriting and closing investments in all property types. Mr. Dishner is a member of the Executive and Investment Committees. Prior to joining Starwood in 1994, Mr. Dishner was with the Commercial Mortgage Finance Group of J.P. Morgan & Co., where he focused on whole-loan dispositions and securitizations for various thrift institutions. Prior to J.P. Morgan & Co., Mr. Dishner was a member of the Acquisitions Group at JMB Realty Corporation. Mr. Dishner received a BS degree in economics from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.

Ellis Rinaldi

Ellis F. Rinaldi has represented the Firm’s legal interests since 1991. Mr. Rinaldi is actively involved in all the legal aspects of the Firm’s business, including acquisitions, financing, asset management and strategic planning. Mr. Rinaldi became an officer of Starwood Capital and a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee in 1999. Mr. Rinaldi has been structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing complex real estate transactions since 1987. He was an associate at the law firm of Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts and then Pircher, Nichols & Meeks, prior to forming Rinaldi, Finkelstein & Franklin, L.L.C. (“RFF”), the firm’s lead outside counsel. Mr. Rinaldi is the managing member of RFF and is on the Board of Directors of Baccarat. Mr. Rinaldi received his JD from George Washington University, where he was a member of the GW Law Review, and his BBA degree, summa cum laude, in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Honors Program.

Christian Dalzell

Christian S. Dalzell is the Global Head of Capital Markets for Starwood Capital Group and is responsible for all debt capital market activities globally for Starwood’s funds and Starwood Property Trust, including all asset level and fund/corporate level activity, foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives. Mr. Dalzell is a member of the investment committees of both Starwood Capital Group and Starwood Property Trust. Mr. Dalzell came to Starwood Capital from Eastdil Secured in March, 2010, where he had been the Head of Debt Placement for the Structured Transactions Group since 2006. While at Eastdil, Mr. Dalzell was responsible for the origination and execution of debt placement transactions, senior and subordinate loan sales, UCC Public Sales, and equity recapitalizations. Prior to joining Eastdil, Mr. Dalzell spent over ten years at Bank of America Securities LLC where, most recently, he was the Regional Manager of the West Region for BAS’ CMBS Capital Markets Group. During the past 18 years, Mr. Dalzell has amassed extensive experience in all facets of the mortgage finance industry; successfully originating and closing approximately $39 billion in transactions across more than 300 transactions since 2001. Mr. Dalzell received his BA in Finance from Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, TX.
