Mr. Maughan is a co-founder of Sundance Capital Partners and a partner at Sundance Debt Partners. He has capitalized over $750 million of real estate projects. Prior to joining Sundance, he was a Vice President at Hanover Financial, a real estate private equity fund based in Los Angeles that has funded over $2.2 billion of multi-family and retail development projects. While at Hanover, Mr. Maughan expanded the firm's capital platform nationwide by forming joint venture partnerships with NNN lease real estate developers. Before joining Hanover Financial, Mr. Maughan was the founder and owner of Summit Net Lease, where he syndicated private equity capital for the development of single tenant retail and industrial projects. Other prior experience includes commercial real estate lending at US Bank and Washington Mutual. Mr. Maughan holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University and a Master of Real Estate Development from Arizona State University. He is an active member of ICSC.

Mr. Nixon is the COO of Sundance Debt Partners and co-founder of Sundance Capital Partners. Mr. Nixon has over 10 years of real estate development and investing experience. Mr. Nixon has worked as a Sr. Associate in McKinsey and Company’s Houston office. While at McKinsey, he advised PE funds on investment strategy, developed and standardized operational controls at large infrastructure firms, designed a construction and real estate investment strategy for a leading hospital chain and redefined risk protocols for numerous Fortune 500 companies. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Nixon worked as a project manager for KBR, a leading Engineering and Construction firm. His work focused mainly on infrastructure projects and large oil and gas projects with scope and reach around the world. Mr. Nixon holds a degree in Business and Russian from Brigham Young University and a MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Mr. Ricks is a Managing Director and has over 30 years of real estate development and investing experience. During his career, Mr. Ricks has bought, sold, managed, leased, built and capitalized over $500 million in real estate ventures. He is formerly the CEO of Trophy Homes where he built over 2,000 homes during his tenure with the company. He is a current owner of and/or investor in office buildings, retail centers, mobile home parks, residential land, and multifamily properties. Additionally, he has been an early investor in a number of start-up companies such as Omniture, Zuka Juice and Altius Health Plan. Mr. Ricks received his Bachelors in Estate and Financial Planning from Brigham Young University, where he taught from 2000 to 2011 as an adjunct professor teaching advanced real estate development and investing courses.
