Prior to forming Swift Real Estate Partners, Christopher served as President and CEO of Carr, Trizec & Equity Office Properties, managing all aspects of Blackstone’s office real estate portfolio encompassing 55 million square feet. He guided the strategic investments and had operational participation in the public-to-private transactions of CarrAmerica, Trizec, and Equity Office Properties. Before joining Equity Office, Christopher served as the Northern California Market Managing Director at CarrAmerica Realty Corporation for over six years. Christopher holds a Quantitative Economics degree from Stanford University.
Mr. Abbey is Chairman of the Investment Committee and responsible for the firm's portfolio management activities. He co-founded AMB Property Corporation (merged with Prologis in 2011) formed in 1983 and IHP Capital Partners in 1992. He has over 35 years experience in all phases of real estate investment. He is a trustee of the Urban Land Institute and since 2005 has taught the real estate class at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Mr. Abbey has a BA from Amherst College and an MCP from UC Berkeley. He is on the Board of Bridge Housing Corporation, a non-profit developer of affordable housing.
