Since founding Tailwind in 2003, we have invested over $1.2 billion in 31 portfolio companies and, with those companies, have completed over 70 acquisitions. A member of the Tailwind Team since 2003, Jeff rejoined Tailwind in 2008 after a year at Telegraph Hill Partners. Earlier in his career, he worked as an investment banker at Montgomery Securities and Thomas Weisel Partners. Jeff is a graduate of Tufts University, and the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Frank Sica

Frank arrived at Tailwind in 2006 after two decades in the private equity business at Soros Fund Management and Morgan Stanley. At Soros, he was President of Soros Private Funds Management, where he oversaw private equity and real estate activities and chaired the investment committee. Frank was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and its private equity affiliate, Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, where he also served as Co-CEO. Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director in Morgan Stanley’s M&A department. Frank is a graduate of both Wesleyan University and the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and was an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
