Tomas Schoenberg
Tomas Schoenberg joined The Swig Company in 2005 and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2014. With over three decades of institutional commercial real estate experience, he spearheads the Company’s new investment and capital sourcing efforts. Over the course of his career, Mr. Schoenberg has participated as a principal in transactions approaching $2 billion dollars of value, and comprising over 12 million square feet and over 3,000 multifamily units. Prior to joining The Swig Company, Mr. Schoenberg was Director of Real Estate for a Berkeley-based, private family real estate company, and Director of Investments for Peninsula-based developer, SARES-REGIS. He also previously held senior real estate officer positions with Kemper Real Estate Management, Integrated Resources and Metropolitan Life. Mr. Schoenberg is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. He sits on the Board of ULI’s San Francisco District Council and is very active in mentoring younger real estate professionals through ULI and the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of California.
Ken Perry
Ken Perry joined The Swig Company in 1998 and as Chief Investment Officer and Director of Asset Management had oversight over all of the Company’s investment and portfolio activities. He was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in 2014. As the senior-most officer of the Company, Mr. Perry is responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations, asset management strategies, and investment activities. He is also primarily responsible for building and maintaining relationships with financial partners and reporting to the Company’s Board of Directors and ownership group. Mr. Perry has over 30 years of diversified experience in institutional commercial real estate with demonstrated success in value creation, successful investment realization, and strategic planning. Prior to joining The Swig Company, Mr. Perry was the Director of Asset Services for Northern California for Cushman & Wakefield. He has also held senior positions with Northern California regional developers Bedford Properties and Norland Properties. Mr. Perry is a member of Lambda Alpha, and a former Board member and past President of BOMA San Francisco.
Deborah Boyer
Deborah Boyer is Executive Vice President and Director of Asset Management, responsible for the company’s portfolio assets nationally. Deborah joined The Swig Company in 2005 with over 20 years’ experience with major real estate owners and investors, providing her with a broad background in mixed-use commercial real estate. Her strategic management and positioning of Swig portfolio assets have been instrumental in placing the company at the forefront of emerging trends in the industry. Reflective of her dedication to building a vibrant Oakland, Deborah serves as board president of the Lake Merritt/Uptown Community Benefit District and is a board member of SPUR Oakland. Deborah participates in numerous professional and community-based organizations and is currently a member of the board of directors for BOMA San Francisco.
