Mr. Henry is a Managing Member of TriGate Capital, LLC (“TriGate”) and CEO of JAH & Company, Ltd. (“JAH”). TriGate is a leading investment manager focused on the recapitalization and repositioning of quality commercial real estate assets and companies. TriGate has purchased 9.1 million square feet of commercial properties and hotels with 565 rooms. JAH is a family-controlled holding company that, through its JAH Realty subsidiary, is a developer/owner/operator of neighborhood retail properties in Dallas/Ft. Worth and Oklahoma City. JAH Realty currently owns approximately 1.8 million square feet of properties with no outside capital partners. Prior to his current roles, Mr. Henry was a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, focused on real estate investment. Mr. Henry ran Morgan Stanley’s real estate investing group in Europe from 2000 to 2003 with overall responsibility for MSREF and the Real Estate Special Situations Funds in Europe. During this time period, these funds completed over $8 billion of investments, $3 billion of sales and $7 billion of financings. Prior to this, he was MSREF’s Chief Financial Officer from 1998 to 2000 and a Senior Investment Officer in the United States from 1993 to 1998. Mr. Henry commenced his career at Morgan Stanley in 1988 and held positions in corporate finance, real estate investment banking and real estate principal investing. In 2003 after his departure from the firm, Mr. Henry advised Morgan Stanley on its acquisition of the U.S. real estate investment management business of Lend Lease PLC.
Mr. Pettee is a Managing Member of TriGate. He has a long term background in investment management, loan workouts, structured finance and private and public debt/equity investing. Prior to his current role with TriGate, Mr. Pettee spent seven years directing all operations, asset management and workout activities for NCS I LLC, a joint venture controlled by Fortress Investments and Goldman Sachs, which purchased the assets of Amresco, Inc. in 2001. Assets included loans, real estate, commercial securitization residuals, servicing rights and miscellaneous non real estate assets. Prior to NCS I LLC, Mr. Pettee held positions as President and Chief Operating Officer of Amresco Capital Trust, an externally managed mortgage REIT and Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Amresco, Inc., a diversified financial services lender in the residential, commercial and SBA markets. Mr. Pettee spent four years in institutional real estate investment management as a Managing Director of Copley Real Estate Advisors and as President of BBC Investment Advisors, a registered investment advisor and an early investor in the subordinate CMBS sector. He previously spent six years with Morgan Stanley & Company in real estate investment banking.
Mr. Yarckin is a Managing Member of TriGate. He has an extensive background in real estate and distressed debt investments, structured finance, workouts and portfolio management. Prior to his current role with TriGate, he was President and CEO of ORIX Capital Markets, LLC, the proprietary investment and asset management arm of ORIX USA Corporation. He was responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of new investments, as well as directing the management and workout activities of several large portfolios. Prior to this role, Mr. Yarckin spent ten years with The Lone Star Funds as a founding partner involved with various aspects of the real estate investment business including new investment origination, capital raising, structured finance and portfolio management. He was also President of Hudson Advisors, the asset management affiliate of Lone Star Funds. Prior to joining Lone Star, Mr. Yarckin was a workout specialist at Colony Advisors and commenced his career at Salomon Brothers.
Mr. Aultz is a Vice President at TriGate. He works with the investment team to analyze acquisition opportunities and assist in the asset management of existing investments. Prior to joining TriGate, Mr. Aultz worked at Brian Gibbs Development, a real estate development firm focusing on multifamily properties. While there, he specialized in underwriting new multifamily development opportunities and assisted in managing existing properties. Prior to this role, Mr. Aultz interned at Merrill Lynch where he researched various markets and new investments for the Global Wealth Management department. Mr. Aultz also has equity analysis experience, specifically focusing on the oil and gas industry.
