Co-Founder

Scott Sherman

Scott is responsible for strategic direction, sourcing investment opportunities, capital markets and operations for the firm. Previously, Scott was Vice President of Acquisitions at Thor Equities. He was responsible for acquisitions in the Southeast United States including Miami, Washington, DC, Nashville, Austin and Charleston. Additionally, he was a key member of Thor’s expansion into Montreal, London and France. At Thor, Scott completed in excess of $2 Billion of acquisitions focusing on urban retail and mixed-use assets. Prior to Thor, Scott was the Director of acquisitions at Becker Brothers where he was responsible for sourcing and executing value-add strategies across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic US. During his tenure at Becker Brothers, he managed a mix of asset types including retail, office and parking garages. Before Becker Brothers, Scott began his career at Ernst & Young in the Transaction Real Estate Advisory group where he also obtained his CPA license in the state of NY. Scott is a native of South Florida and currently resides in Miami with his wife Laura, son Lucas, and daughter Lily. He received his MS and BS in Accounting from the University of Florida where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Scott is a member of ICSC, CIASF in addition to several philanthropic organizations he dedicates time to in his community.

Benjamin Mandell

Ben is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, equity partner & tenant relations, overseeing leasing, and operations for the firm. Previously, Ben was Managing Director at RKF. He focused on investment sales, tenant representation, and landlord representation. Ben has worked with numerous retailers including but not limited to Warby Parker, Shinola, Aesop Cosmetics, Restoration Hardware, Garmin, Oliver Peoples, CVS, Citibank, and Chipotle. He has also facilitated deals for many regional and national landlords. During his time at RKF Ben completed over $400mm of commercial investment sale transactions. Prior to RKF, Ben worked as an analyst for First American Investments in Prescott Arizona. There, he researched demographics, analyzed information on First American Investments’ portfolio and provided support on leasing and sales transactions throughout Northern Arizona. Ben was born in Boston MA, and raised in Providence RI. Early on he worked in the restaurant industry as a chef for several fine dining establishments. Ben studied Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI. He is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of Florida and a member of ICSC.

Chief Financial Officer

Ari Sasson

Ari is responsible for supporting Tricera’s acquisition efforts across all stages of the investment life cycle. His primary roles include deal underwriting, due diligence, financing, asset management, property management, and investor relations. Previously, Ari was a Senior Associate with Deloitte's Real Estate Consulting practice in Miami and New York, specializing in commercial real estate valuation. In this capacity, Ari managed the valuation of $4 billion of commercial real estate assets, including retail, office, industrial, multifamily, and specialty properties, across national and international markets. He further led the review of third party valuations of all real estate property types with an aggregate value of nearly $13.5 billion. At Deloitte, Ari acted as the point of contact with top tier private equity firms, REITs, and multinational investment management corporations, growing his network and gaining valuable acquisitions and capital market experience in the process. He also has longtime experience working as part of his family’s real estate development company in Rockland County, New York as an investment analyst. Prior to joining Deloitte, Ari completed his MS in Real Estate Finance and Investment at the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he graduated with Magna Cum Laude distinction. He also holds an MA in Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy from the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya in Israel with a specialization in Counter-terrorism and Homeland Security, and a BA in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.

Vice President

Justin Lustig

Justin is responsible for all leasing activities for the firm. Previously, Justin was Director of Anchor/Big Box leasing at Brookfield Properties. He was responsible for all big box leasing for the eastern half of the portfolio which consisted of 17 regional malls in 14 states. During his time at Brookfield his main focus was the repositioning of three major mixed-use redevelopments which included The Collection at Independence (Wilmington, NC), The Heights at Monmouth (Eatonton, NJ) & Burlington City Place (Burlington, VT). Justin has worked with an array of national & regional retailers including but not limited to Dick’s Sporting Goods, DSW, ULTA, Michaels, Cinemark, LIDL, Five Below & Orange Theory Fitness. Justin has completed over $100mm of commercial lease transactions. Prior to Brookfield Properties, Justin was Associate Director of Leasing for DLC Management where he was responsible for all leasing activity in a portfolio of approximately 3.8 million square feet of value-add shopping centers consisting of power centers, grocery anchored centers & neighborhood centers throughout the East Coast & Midwest regions. Justin was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Columbus, OH. Justin received his BS in Consumer Affairs & Financial Services with a minor in General Business from The Ohio State University. Justin is an active member of ICSC.
