Real Estate Investment Strategy Director

Lori Mason Curran

With more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Lori Mason Curran leads the formulation of investment strategy for Vulcan's real estate portfolio. She has an extensive background in the valuation of commercial real estate and her ongoing market research is used to inform acquisition, disposition and overall investment decisions. Mason Curran is responsible for the annual valuation of Vulcan’s entire real estate portfolio valued at over $2.0 billion. Prior to joining Vulcan, Mason Curran worked as a commercial real estate appraiser. She received her MAI designation in 1998 and is a member of the Counselors of Real Estate as well as a LEED AP (accredited professional). She is an active member of various real estate organizations and a past member of the Board of Trustees for the Washington Center for Real Estate Research at Washington State University’s College of Business and Economics. Mason Curran received a B.A. from Vassar College and her M.A. from New York University.

Ada Healey

Ada M. Healey directs all real estate strategies for Vulcan Inc. and oversees over $2.0 billion in real estate assets including the redevelopment of nearly 60 acres in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. Vulcan has delivered several million square feet in new office, life science, residential and mixed-use projects with an additional million-plus in development and pre-development stages. Healey is a leader in the development of integrated transportation systems and was instrumental in the passage of legislation for the South Lake Union Streetcar. Under Healey’s direction, Vulcan has earned widespread industry recognition and honors for its innovative development approaches and commitment to sustainability. Prior to joining Vulcan, Healey worked for nearly 10 years at ING Clarion, holding positions in asset management, acquisitions and portfolio management. Previous experience includes several years at NYNEX Properties (now Verizon Communications) and time in the insurance industry with the Sedgwick Group, London and Metropolitan Reinsurance Company in New York. Healey holds a B.A. from Duke University and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Robert Arron

Robert Arron spearheads all leasing and marketing efforts for Vulcan’s real estate development projects, with a focus on properties in South Lake Union and other West Coast markets. Arron also serves as Vulcan's liaison with the brokerage community and manages relationships with prospective tenants. He has more than 25 years of experience leading leasing, listing brokerage, asset management and acquisition and disposition teams. Prior to joining Vulcan, Arron served as vice president with Kearny Real Estate Company (an operating partner of the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund) in Los Angeles. Arron has also served as a project director with Spieker Properties in Los Angeles and as a senior property manager and marketing representative with Trammell Crow Company in Seattle. Prior to that, he was general manager of the Bank of America Tower for the Norman Company. Arron earned his B.A. from Occidental College and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.

Sharon Coleman

Sharon Coleman oversees development activities for Vulcan's commercial and biotechnology projects in the Pacific Northwest. Her expertise includes site evaluation and project feasibility as well as design and construction of commercial projects. Coleman has a focused expertise in adaptive reuse of historic landmark structures and she is instrumental in the formation and adoption of city-wide sustainability initiatives in Seattle. Coleman has more than 25 years of real estate development, design, and project management experience in the Washington and California markets. Prior to joining Vulcan, Coleman served as a project manager for Wright Runstad and Company, the University of Washington, and Cove Development Company in Newport Beach, California. Sharon holds a B.A. in architectural studies from the University of Illinois.

Maria Mackey Gunn

Maria Mackey Gunn manages Vulcan’s portfolio of corporate real estate and leads Vulcan’s financing negotiations on its real estate investments. In her role, Gunn has established relationships with more than 20 different lenders including life insurance companies, banks and pension funds. She has secured nearly $2 billion in financing across a variety of real estate and construction loan programs. Prior to joining Vulcan, Gunn served as CFO at Berg Holdings, a San Francisco Bay Area developer/investor with holdings nationwide. Her industry experience also includes four years as principal of Mackey & Company, a commercial real estate finance company in Seattle. Previously, Gunn spent 14 years as Vice President of Commercial Real Estate – eight of those years for Pacific First Federal (now Chase) and six years with Seafirst Mortgage Corporation (now Bank of America). Gunn holds a B.A. in economics from Willamette University.
