Mark Sofge

Mr. Sofge has spoken locally and nationally on various real estate and investment related topics to include the Brookings Institute the Congressional Library in Washington the US Chamber of Commerce, and to the Federal Reserve Bank. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Register Investment Advisor. Mr. Sofge joined Bank of America’s Private Wealth Management group where as Vice President, his responsibilities included business development, tax and estate planning, the restructuring of operating companies for tax efficiency purposes and the reorganization of real estate development companies throughout the southeast. He later joined Wachovia Bank, NA as Senior Vice President and Partner in the Wealth Management and Financial Planning group, where he managed a portfolio of over $1.4 billion. Mr. Sofge currently lives in the metro Atlanta area. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, golfing, and fly fishing. He is an active member of the Financial Planners Association, the Urban Land Institute, and the Blue Ridge chapter of Trout Unlimited. Mr. Sofge currently sits on the board of advisors for several real estate developers, investment funds and businesses in the southeastern US. He is a member of various community and volunteer organizations and continues to be active within his church.

Walter Hall

Mr. Hall has spoken locally and nationally on various real estate related topics. Additionally, his writings have been published in a varying array of periodicals, including The Tar Heel Banker and Trust & Estates Magazine. He holds certifications as a Senior Real Property Appraiser as well as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (by the American Bankers Association). Mr. Hall obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, majoring in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the North Carolina Outward Bound School. Mr. Hall attended The Ohio State University completing his certification as a Senior Real Property Appraiser. He later attended Columbia Theological Seminary where he received a Master in Ethics. Mr. Hall joined BB&T as an in-house appraiser where he managed real estate development and construction lending functions. He later worked as a project manager for Spectrum Marketing, a North Carolina based firm specializing in the development of retirement communities. He spent over twenty years with Wachovia Bank, NA where he managed tax planning initiatives for high net worth individuals and real estate developers in the southeastern US. Mr. Hall currently lives in the metro Atlanta area with his wife, Jill, and he has three children. In his spare time, he enjoys non-fiction reading, tennis, and snow skiing. He is an a volunteer with the Greater Atlanta Council, Boy Scouts of America, and the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association. He and his family continue to be active at Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Jerry Fitzgerald

Jerry W. Fitzgerald specializes in timber and raw land properties for investment and development in the southeastern United States. Jerry relies on a foundation of established relationships, local and regional experience and state-of-the-art technology to remain at the forefront of current market conditions and property values. Jerry Fitzgerald has more than thirty years of financial negotiation and problem resolution experience, beginning in the transportation industry and continuing into his twelve years as a real estate professional. Mr. Fitzgerald has closed over 40 land transactions totaling more than $70 million. During his career, he has worked successfully with large school systems, timber investment companies, and REITs as well as local land owners and small businesses. Jerry Fitzgerald attended Marshall University and holds both CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and ALC (Accredited Land Consultant) designations. He is a licensed real estate broker in both North and South Carolina. He is a licensed pilot with over 2,000 flying hours and is a certified captain on Cessna 300 and 400 series aircraft. Jerry is also flight safety certified as a captain on Beechcraft King Air. Jerry resides in Weddington, North Carolina where he is an active member of the community. He and his wife Debra have three grown children and six grandchildren. Jerry and Debra enjoy motorcycle riding and outdoor activities in their spare time.
